Spacious, clean, tastefully-decorated rooms in a private house on a quiet street in a very nice residential neighborhood of Rome. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were large and warm (in December) and the water pressure was good.
I don't understand some of the complaints: the street is not at all busy, except for the regular and convenient bus; the distance from tourist attractions is a *feature* of staying in a residential neighborhood, not a flaw (if you want to stay in Piazza Navona, *use a map* and choose a hotel there); shops and restaurants are close, both 5 minutes up the hill and 10 minutes down the hill; the owner is charming but doesn't hover, which we like: if you need more friendship than that, bring your aunt or hire a companion.
The internet is a bit spotty, in part because the signal doesn't pass well through some of the walls and in part because the broadcast band used is the same as some neighbors with more powerful routers (that could be fixed by the system administrator in 5 seconds), but it was very high speed in the hallway and usually passable in the room.
