After visiting several lame and tasteless Italian eateries, it was nice to come upon this restaurant. The food was awesome, the location ideal, the atmosphere was perfect, and so was the service. We liked it so much we went back twice. The food was quality and the restaurant was perfect for our toddler son to entertain himself while we ate. They really took care of the three of us and meet all our needs. It's family friendly, group friendly, and romantic too. It's practically next door to the Trevi Fountain and across from several souvenir shops.

The only negative was that on our second visit, when the waiter found out we were American, he made it a point to tell both me and my husband, separately, that tip was not included. In most cases, as it was in this restaurant, the service fee is typically added to the bill and any additional tipping is uncommon from the locals and discretionary. While we tipped both times in addition to the added service fee, it was disappointing to hear the waiter reach out and try to get more money. To take advantage of American tourist who may not know Roman tipping practices was not nice and took away from an almost perfect experience. We would have tipped him more if he had only kept his mouth shut. I would still go back and still recommend it. Just don't start a conversation with the waiter, he may try to milk it.

A friend and I were jumping around Rome, exploring the beautiful city and searching for the Trevi Fountain when we happened upon this restaurant. The staff was friendly and gracious. The food was amazing! When I say amazing I really mean AHHH-MAZ-ING! Spectacular wine too! We loved this place so much that we went back 4x yes 4x! We even went for lunch the day of our flight and almost missed the flight home! That's how amazing this place is. If you are dining with a friend get a pizza and the pasta al carbona!

Had a great dinner here in December 2012 and returned tonight after trying a new highly rated (by tripadvisor and others) restaurant last night. After last night's not cheap disappointment returned to Allegro Pachino this evening. Not disappointed at all. Great wine list and great food. Order the ox tail stew if you love ox tail ... If you've never had it before, order it anyhow and you will not be disappointed. One of the best deals in Rome and very underrated by tripadvisor. Biggest surprise is that this restaurant is steps from the Trevi Fountain ... an area full if notoriously horrible restaurants.

After visiting trevi fountain, we went pass this restaurant. It was quiet from the outside but we decided to give it a try. The service personnal (SA) showed us to our table inside n we noticed that the restaurant were almost full. The SA was very friendly n speaks english. We liked his service. We ordered some housewine, which cost 3 euro for 1/4 litter. Resonably good wine. We ordered different spaghetti and the food was generally good portion n good standard although a bit salty n oily. We finally ordered a home made tiramisu for 4 euro. Better than other tiramisu that I had tried before. The entire meal costs 56 euro for a family of 6 with wine and a desert. Good value. Recommend a visit.

Went to this restaurant twice thought it was a nice place not far from the Trevi fountain and had lovely food at reasonable prices in Rome. We had tried other restaurants and found them expensive and lacking in their food dishes. THis one however ticked all the right boxes for us with home backed food and house wine and the tiramisu was incredible.well done to it in a city where prices are over the top in restaurants.
