After geting very excited about the reviews and pictures of this property on their website we arrived after a 23 hour flight to be booked into a room with renovations right outside our window. The room itself inside had patchworks of ongoing works - not luxury suite standard! We woke up in the morning to a dirty plastic covered in plaster and dirt every morning. Workmen were walking past our window. To top it all off we had to then endure the jack hammering and banging on our wall!!! What a bitter disappointment after the miles we had travelled and the money we were charged. One of the staff who was most apolgetic offered us a discount however after the 3rd day we were bitterly diasppointed and our stay in Rome ruined!!!!!!!!! The worst part was having to complain about the noise- who needs that stress when on holidays.
Having worked in the travel industry in the past we were always advised if a property was undergoing renovations - we feel we were purposely deceived by not being informed . We were told the works had only just started- not so those works had been going for awhile, way before I had made my booking with them. Therefore they we were well aware at the time of my booking.
I wonder how the staff would feel if it was them getting off a long haul flight and having paid money for a luxury suite staying in the room we did!!!!!!!!!
