This place is truly unique and one of the most lovely hotel experiences I have ever had. The Palm Gallery was by far the favorite of our entire trip. Luisa and her staff are absolutely amazing. They are kind (the best service. ever), accommodating, and make one heck of a cappuccino! Other reviews mentioned the distance from the city center as a disadvantage, but we found the location to be an asset. The neighborhood is quiet, beautiful, and is home to the best dining experience we had in Rome...Osteria dell'Arco, which was recommended by the hotel. The walk into the city center doesn't take long and all the walking makes it that much easier to justify that second (or third!?) gelato. If walking isn't your thing, easy access to the bus and metro await you down the street. The next time we're in Rome we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere but here.

Room Tip: I'm a fan of the S2. It's a corner room with two large windows.

The other reviews have pretty much touched on everything I would say about this wonderful hotel. I will just emphasize that the Palm Gallery was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. When we arrived we had a lot of problems with an airline regarding lost luggage and Luisa and her staff went above and beyond for us. I would go as far as to say that the location and service at this hotel is what made our trip to Rome such a great experience. It was truly a pleasure.

When planning 2 months in advance for our Italy trip I was surprised to find the #7 hotel still had availabilities.

Pros :

1) Service : it's undeniable that service is one of the greatest you can find. You're provided with maps, explanations, tips, and everything else you could need to explore Rome.
2) Rooms : clean, renovated and very spacious
3) Location : away from the touristy places of Rome, in a quiet residential area
4) Gardens : very nice exterior setting with tables and couches to relax with a snack and a drink.
5) Staff : extremely helpful and always courteous. A special hi to Daniel with whom we had a great conversation on our return to the airport!
6) Breakfast : Various, fresh and abundant! The best breakfast we had on our trip.
7) Price : Price was unbeatable for the service we got!

Cons :

1) Location : yes, it can be a con too! Sometimes it was a pain to know that you're 30 minutes away from your hotel, but all was forgotten when you got to the comfort of the hotel.
2) Noisy rooms : Walls were not very well insulated (I guess that's normal for houses turned in to hotels) so we could hear the conversation of our neighbors, the flushing and the toilet and the shower!

I would go back to that hotel again!

Lusia and the team at the Palm Gallery Hotel were a Godsend. Very Helpful and accommodating! The Hotel itself is very nice with great terrace and peaceful surrounds. The room was very nice, modern with a definite touch of class. The location is superb as it is close to many great attractions in Rome, though also in a safe quiet neighborhood. It is very Close to the NZ Embassy (Also Canadian and Australian) and this was perfect as i had to sort out some passport issues. All in All Lusia and her Handsome staff went beyond the call of duty to make the stay at The Palm Gallery a Blessing.

Room Tip: All rooms are good

Staying at this lovely little hotel located in a charming neighborhood really made our trip to Rome memorable. It is near several bus stops that will take you anywhere you want to go in the city. We found that being located outside the city center was a great advantage. After a lovely breakfast on the outdoor patio we would take the bus, have a busy day in the city and return to the peace of the patio, have a drink and share experiences with fellow travelers and walk to a great neighborhood restaurant. I can't say enough about Louisa and Lorenzo and the staff and their personal helpful attention and wonderful hospitality.

The Palm Gallery Hotel is located in a very nice part of Rome. The rooms with their high ceilings are spacious and tastefully furnished. It is relaxing to come back here and enjoy a drink on the front patio or garden after a busy day of sightseeing. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are like family happy to chat with you about your day. Excellent restaurants nearby. Transit easily accessible. Staff will provide maps and directions to all the tourist sights.
We still talk about the Palm Gallery and the staff. It made our trip to Rome FANTASTIC!

We were two couples and wanted to stay at an Italian hotel instead of the usual places. Staff at Palm Gallery are very friendly and went out of their way to help us during our visit. The office is pretty disorganized (they forgot to pick us up at the train station) but each person was more than willing to help us find restaurants, ATM, transportation, etc. Daniel and the others made sure we were warmly greeted each morning and Vincenzo expertly researched on the computer and provided us with printed info and directions.

The included breakfast was made-to-order and very good. The rooms were large enough, comfortable, quiet and very clean. There are only about 11 rooms and each is different. Because it is in a neighborhood, it is very quiet and we enjoyed sitting in the sun porch to have coffee or wine and visit. We used buses and taxis to travel to the popular spots, and had no problems. The "kicker" was that after we left Rome, headed to Sorrento, I emailed Luisa to tell her they had made a mistake on my bill. Later that week we returned to Rome late at night, to stay at a hotel near the airport for an early morning flight. My refund, in cash, was waiting for us at the hotel with a note of apology! That's caring! We would definitely stay again at Palm Gallery.

Room Tip: Our friends stayed in the "garden view" room just behind the breakfast area and said it wa...
