Great location - maximum 5 minute walk to the nearest metro/subway station. Free wifi (no time limit, coverage throughout the hotel); friendly staff; clean; new furnishings. I like how it's a pay if you use hotel - breakfast was all you can eat for 10 euros which unfortunately I only took advantage of on the last day. Food included cold and hot meats, cakes, sweet and savoury pastries, fruit, plus the usual bread, tea, coffee, milk and juice. Business centre is 2 euros per hour, but I got an extra hour at no charge without asking. I also prefer doing my own washing so the coin operated laundry room was just what I wanted.

Excellent value for money, excellent location, so easy to find and only 10 minute walk from the train station. In a very quiet location however still in walkable distance from all the main places in Rome you would want to visit. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. The vending machines were excellent - extremely well stocked and well priced. the roof terrace was fantastic - something for everyone - relaxing, eating and for children to play. the decor was very sophisticated and trendy and all very new looking. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It made our stay in Rome very special indeed.

My husband and I stayed at the wonderful IQ Hotel Roma for four nights and I think I observed the previous customer (from Bejing) throwing a fit during checkout. It was quite the scene and the staff was doing its best to accomodate this very whiny, demanding woman. She was complaining about the breakfast charges and kept repeating that she and her family had a plane to catch soon...but as the staff kept accomodating her she kept adding on her demands. My husband and I both thought her actions and attitude to be quite boorish and actually felt sorry for the staff. Makes one wonder why she and her family switched hotels in the first place! Some people!!! I had found the reviews to be quite positive about this hotel and yes,...it is obviously more of a modern-style hotel as the pictures very clearly portray so it shouldn't have been a surprise if you did your homework! The rooms were adequate and everything was just as reported in the reviews..clean, clean, clean! The ONLY slight thing that I would mention is that the rooms were quite warm at times, even with the windows open. The breakfast was ample and varied but it was an option that you could choose to take advantage of or not..at 10 euro per person. So, if you thought it to be too expensive, you had the option of buying your own food and storing it in the room refrigerator. We did this on a few occasions as there is a fruit stand at the end of the street that also offers all types of fruit juices and snacks. Of course there are also plenty of bakeries in Rome...In addition, the hotel offered a variety of food and drinks in the various vending machines located throughout the buiilding. They even had a washer and dryer for its guests. If you had any computer work to do and you wanted to get online, there was a small daily charge to use the many computers in the business "lab". The staff was ALWAYS cheerful and very helpful! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. And, if you like the less modern types of hotels, then take the time to do the research first and you'll easily find what you are looking for!

An amazing hotel, could not ask for anything else!!! Centrally located, a great value for money ( in fact when i was going to book i was questioning myself that it's too good to be true), a wonderful friendly staff with impeccable English speaking staff, great comfortable rooms and well clean...... and much more positive things!!! I'm being honest when I say that I can't find something negative during my stay!!!

I FULLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. It's money well spent!!! When I'll visit Rome again, I won't hesitate to book a hotel, I'll go directly to the IQ hotel Rome.

Just 1 tip - during your stay in Rome, use public transport if you're a foreigner, don't let it even cross your mind to hire a car!!!

My family of four stayed our last night in the IQ Hotel in Rome. We had spent the prior two weeks traveling around Italy and stayed in a number of smaller hotels, including the IQ's sister hotel, Artemide (just around the corner from IQ). While the hotel was clean, the architecture is much too modern to fit in with the ambience of Rome and this spoiled our last night. There is personal value in ambience and after walking around 3000 years of Roman history, it is a jolt to return to a strangely colored blue hotel that looks nothing like anything you'd seen that day. The breakfast was just so-so and it was first hotel that charged for breakfast, 10 euros. The staff was helpful and WiFi connection was both excellent and free. Other than this though, it wasn't my idea of "the place to stay" while in Rome. I would recommend the Artemide over this hotel (even though more expensive) as it had more personal value to my family (we stayed in Artemide for 6 nights). But in fairness, the room was clean and bathroom big enough...just not my "cup of tea" when I think of Roman Hotel.

I never normally write review but decided to as I had the most amazing time in Rome....The hotel is situated near all the sites, & if your a walker you could even walk to the Vatican.... Rome itself is stunning so the fact we stayed in a nice hotel just made it perfect.
It is great as you have a fridge so you can bring things from the local supermarkets.

The rooms are very clean, the standard double is very small so if you can afford to upgrade...Do!

The staff are very helpful especially Hicham, very nice guy, will definatley be going back.

We loved Rome, so if you want a nice Hotel in a great location Pick IQ.

See you soon Rome...x
