We booked this hotel based on all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. With so many positive reviews, I admit I was a little bit curious, was this for real?

Me and my wife spent 3 nights at the hotel in December. We chose the deluxe room, which was spacious and very nice. Big bathroom with both shower and bathtub, and the bed was very good. The design was also very much in line with our taste – quite minimalistic.

Our luggage got delayed, and the staff was very helpful in tracking status of its arrival. In general the staff was extremely service-minded and helpful with all our requests. They recommended excellent restaurants and bars, and helped us have a great stay in Rome.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but visited the rooftop terrace a couple of nights before going out for dinner. A nice treat from the hotel, were you can help yourself with drinks and snacks at the courtesy of the hotel.

Hotel location is very good. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see during our stay, and in close proximity to the best shopping areas in the city as well. Although centrally located, we did not have any problems with too much noise from traffic.

This hotel is definitely one of my favorites – if not the favorite. There are many reasons why: The people working there. Location is just perfect. The design is great. Rooms big and are at a really high standard. Small hotel makes it quiet and cozy.

All in all – excellent experience – we are coming back!

Great boutique Hotel, went with my sister, absolutely perfect positioning for great shopping, restaurants and sight seeing. Really comfortable bedrooms, i agree the Nespresso machine was a real plus ! very friendly staff, will certainly return as soon as my Barclaycard recovers.

What a great little boutique hotel in the heart of the best shopping and dining and sight seeing in Rome. Our room was stylish but also really comfortable. Great bed with a velvet ledge around it...never seen such a bed before and we loved it. Also have to comment on the complimentary Nespresso Machine in our room...loved that touch...loved it. Drinks at sunset and breakfast at dawn included and on the enclosed roof terrace. For such a little hotel, very big concerige service. Jojo from Cuba and Vince from Italy were terrific: friendly, knew every guest in the hotel by name and sight, made great dining suggestions and always insisted on calling ahead to make sure we were well treated upon arrival. We really enjoyed eating at Edy's which was steps away and not expensive (try the warm octopus salad) and Peitros also very nearby, very delicious and a bit more expensive. When my husband wanted access to a gym, vince and jojo called over to the Hotel Russie just steps down the block and arranged for access (bring your Amex Plat for a reduced gym rate). The Hotel's owner checks on things everyday and you can tell. The hotel can also arrange for tours and special touches. I would absolutely stay here again and send my friends.

Terrific find! Via del Babuino is a great location - near the Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, great shopping and restaurants. Evening drinks on the rooftop terrace were great! The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Babuino 181, it's a quaint hotel in a fabulous location. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they gave us suggestions most nights for restaurants and we were never disappointed.
