this hotel features few beautiful, quiet, modern suites, it is like hiring a private room in a very special private guest house.
the rooms are elegant and have plenty of space, big bathrooms and very confortable king size beds.
the decor is modern and very cosy. in all the rooms you get free water and coffee, as well as free wi-fi service. there is an elegant relaxing living room where you can enjoy coffee or tea during the day.
the roof terrace has opened recently and it is where they serve breakfast. the selection is not amazing but the atmosphere makes it all.
the only negative points of this hotel are: the lighting system, which requires a little bit of attention to understand how you can switch all the lights of your room off; some of the rooms might be noisy as they are on via del babuino; breakfast is simple, it could be better for the level of the hotel; mobile phones dont work in most of the rooms, but this is quite common in the centre of Rome.
These are few details in an overall amazing experience, especially in rome, where hotels tend to be dusty and old-fashioned.
service is friendly and very reliable.

This Hotel is within walking distance of all major attractions.
The hotel itself is stunning with everything you could need to make your stay luxurious.
We found he staff to be very pleasant and helpful. I would gladly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
We met friends in Rome who were staying at a much larger Hotel which was listed as a 5*+. All ican say is that there was no comparison and Babuino181 was much superior.
The only tip I would have is to watch your taxi driver from the airport as even though the price was clearly printed on the door of the car he circled the hotel until the meter read €15 more than quoted. Just refuse to pay the extra and all will be good.

This is a real gem if you can find it. It took us 3 tries to find the small door entrance but it was well worth it. Front desk personnel are superb.
We had a corner suite and we were in heaven with a walk in shower stall !
The decor is fantastic, modern and roomy. Drinks, complimentary, on the terrace while chatting to fellow travellers!
Breakfasts are great and a lovely wecoming lady who serves you coffee,
There is a little trattoria around the corner called Hostaria da Pietro on Via Maria which is amazing. So much fun and excellent food reasonably priced. Visit this and enjoy!
On leaving the hotel we were given a little pillow as a keepsake. A lovely touch which reminds us of our time there.

Room Tip: corner suites are large

Excellent location, sumptuous decor, snazzy roof terrace (with complimentary fizz). Highly recommended. Deluxe suite was an oasis of calm and comfort - perfect for relaxing having seen the inordinate amount of sights available!

We absolutely loved this boutique hotel. We wanted something extra special for our Roman Honeymoon and this place certainly didn’t disappoint! We had a surprise upgrade upon arrival and stayed for 3 nights in a beautiful Deluxe Suite which was AMAZING. The hotel staff are all very helpful and friendly (especially Patricia who checked us into our room). We both fell in love with Rome and Babuino 181 and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. TIP: If you plan on any sightseeing then it’s well worth purchasing your tickets online beforehand. The queues at the Colosseum & Vatican even early in the morning are very long but thankfully we had purchased our tickets online and just went straight in!
