“Lovely dinner”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

We came across this restaurant a few streets away from the trevi fountain. We ordered 2 pizzas which arrived quickly and were very tasty.

For dessert we had tiramisu and a chocolate soufflé. Both were very good.

Portion sizes were good and the prices were also reasonable.

We enjoyed our visit and will definitely return next time we are in rome.

“Delicious food”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

This was opposite another restaurant we tried in Rome, not far from the Trevi fountain. We tried it as our children liked the look of it. It has a spacious outdoor seating area, although we sat inside as you get the smokers outside. There is a large window inside so you get to watch the chefs at work. It is quite large inside and you don't feel like you are on top of the other diners.
We went to this restaurant twice as we enjoyed it so much. We had dinner there and went back the following day for lunch.
I won't go in to full detail about all the food we ate here, but suffice to say everything was freshly cooked to order. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The pizzas are particularly delicious - the base is nice and chewy and it is covered in fresh tomato sauce. For dessert we absolutely loved the tiramisu. We tried it in many restaurants across the city during our stay in Rome and this was by far our favourite one. We shared a bottle of white wine that the waiter recommended to us. We asked for dry wine and the one he suggested was perfect. This place wasn't cheap, but it was well worth the money.
One tip: if you go for dinner this restaurant doesn't open until 7.
This was the best place we ate at in Rome. It's not as cheap as other places around the centre, but the quality of the food is far superior and well worth paying as a treat. If you want something a bit better than the usual tourist restaurants then you can't go wrong at Nana's.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Nana was just around the corner from our hotel and looked very pleasant and welcoming so when we wandered past one early afternoon it seemed like the perfect place to relax. We had delicious pizzas, clearly made freshly, with house wine and they were happy to provide plain penne and parmesan (our son's favourite meal). We sat out under a canopy and the arrangement of tables in a small square was a lovely relaxing setting to recover from sight seeing. We figured that we must have picked somewhere good as quite a few of those dining were Italian, both businessmen and a group of three older couples who all seemed to know the place well. The service was good, food delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant.

“Quite disappointing”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

I got the advise from a friend who has lived in Rome to go to Nanà's for dinner, as she said the food was excellent. However, we were quite disappointed when we came here and first couldn't get what we wanted: my brother wanted gnocchi, and the waiter informed us that it would take too long, and then the pasta we ordered was incredibly al dente... The service was ok, and the food as well, but not much more...

“Good”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

We stumbled on this restaurant. The service was pretty bad, the waiter had an incredible attitude..but the food was good. We suffered then we were rewarded..what more could you want from a meal in Rome? The seafood pasta was delicious. The fish of the day was tender and tasty. The octopus was reasonable and tasted fresh. It's a good place for lunch because you can sit outside under a canopy and people watch.
