Once again trusting the tripadvisor reviews for a good place to eat, we found Estrobar. Reserved a table (through mytable.it) about a week in advance.
The restaurant is pretty far out of the center of Rome, but take the blue Metro line and you arrive (Pyramide station) about 500 meters from the restaurant, easy enough.
As many other reviews state, the big value is the tasting menu for 25 euros. Even more surprising is that you just pick you four items from their regular menu, great concept.
Just as great is the fact, that the food is really good and the service is equally punctual and friendly.
So if you're in Rome and you don't mind going outside the city centre, have a meal at Estrobar, you will not regret it.

I took my mum here for her birthday and we were surprise to see that four courses were 25EUR where one dish would cost about 10-15EUR, so it's great value! And drinks were unlimited, which included wine so it was a great evening, great food, great company and the staff were very accommodating! They even brought all sparkles on my mum's dessert and sang happy birthday to her, it was a memorable evening we will never forget!

We knew it was a tasting menu but still pleasantly surprised that we could pick any item from the open menu. 4 of us picked a variety of dishes so we could try many things. Everything was well presented and tasty. We did not see many locals though. It seemed that everyone there was a tourist, and came here because of the good value. The decor is interesting many large paintings of semi nude women on the wall.

we celebrated my husbands birthday here and were surprised to find such a fantastic restaurant outside the center of rome! we sat outside in a very cozy terrace where you were not disturbed by the busy road.
it is worth the drive there as the food is very good, the service excellent and the atmosphere really nice. for 25 euro you could choose 4 courses of the a la carte menue and water and nice wine are included. all dishes they serve are very special tipical italian and of high standard. if we would live in rome this would be our favorite restaurant ever!
we wondered a bit about the inconvenient pictures of halfnaked women at the inside of the restaurant´and about the toilets. these are clean but painted in an awful tasteless way, the decorator of this restaurant did not do a very good job unfortunately as all the rest is of superb high quality!!!!!

I attended a pilates convention this past week-end and had lunch and light dinner party. Both were very good. The hotel has excellant services and food. I then stayed again for the 4 course gourmet meal on saturday evening ans wow, its always a good surprise. the place was packed and fully booked. from what I understood, from Wednesday evening onwards you HAVE to book, otherwise you will not find a table or you may find one but only after 10.30 pm !
everytime i visit this hotel and Estrobar restaurant I am very pleased. The staff are great.
