I just came in from Rome where I stayed at 4Rooms Roma for 4 nights with my mother.
-very good location, at a 5 min walk to San Pietro
-bus station (64) in front
-breakfast pretty rich considering what I've read before; every morning in room: 2 croissants, 4 packets with 2 slices of toasted bread, 2 muffins and 2 bottles of water. In the kitchen we had: cereals, italian coffee, instant coffee, coffee with rice, instant chocolate, jam, nutella, tea, honey, sugar. There was a little fridge where we found: one small can of milk for every room and butter (these were renewed every day) and we used it to put some parmesan and salami that we bought ourselves to make sandwiches and complete our breakfast.
-the host, Michele, is very nice, available and helpful. He stays across the street so if there's a problem he will be there in 5 min.
-very noisy; the b&b is at ground floor facing the street and the windows are poorly isolated; we could hear everything that was going on the street, including what people were saying to each other when they passed in front. It was like they were shoving their heads trough the window in our room and started talking. And closing the window helped very little.
-the hot water is not non stop. We stayed in the last room on the hall and when anyone from the prior rooms was taking a shower we didn't have hot water. We had to wait for everybody to finish showering so we can wash ourselves. 2 nights it happened that we entered the shower because the water was hot and while still in there it stopped. Another night we arrived early, no other guest was there and we didn't have problems with hot water.
But you have 2 choices: either you come home early when no one's there or you wait for the rest to finish showering (and this might take some while).
