We ate here on ourfirst night. It was opposite our hotel we' d had a long day and didnt want to go far. The owners were very friendly. The food was amazing and all cooked like home foid. We had starter main and dessert 2 beers and wine and it came under €60. It was very busy but we were attended to very quckly throughout.

“a lovely local restaurant”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

right next door to the Hotel Alpi too! A lovely meal - the lasagne was great and it feels like a family run restaurant -which are used to foreigners - but not too many! I would have returned if we had more time.

“What a find!”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

We tried this trattoria on our first night as it was opposite our hotel and we did not want a late night. The food was gorgeous and the staff were able to understand my bit of Italian and spoke English. They also understood that I was vegetarian so would not be having the meat or fish course. The pasta was gorgeous and my friend enyjoyed her lamb dish. Try the Torta di Nonne for desert or the Dark Truffle!! We returned again on our last night as we had such a good meal previously. Not disapointed .. except that the Torta di Nonne had run out! Full of Romans ... always a sign of good food!!

“Great little family restaurant”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

We went to this restaurant as it was just across from the hotel and after travelling and arriving late we decided to go across following some of the reviews on TA. We weren't disappointed and had a lovely meal and with wine - very reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much we went on our way home another evening and just ordered some wine enjoying the Italian evening weather, The place is family run and it seemed to be a mother and son doing most things. The deserts were delicious.

“Great food and lots of atmosphere”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

This restaurant was recommended to me by friends from Saudi Arabia... that's how widespread the reputation is. If you eat nothing else at this place, you must have the antipasto platter... so very good and so typical of the Abruzzo region. Also, and I may be a little biased here, but the Abruzzo red wine is fantastic and dirt cheap... it's less than soft drinks or a beer. The fixed price menu is the way to go in my opinion, and usually there's a lamb option for the secondi piatti... TAKE IT.

We did the mid-range fixed price menu and for two of us with a half litre of wine, including shared antipasti platter, primo (pasta) piatti, secondi (meat) piatti, and dessert each, plus servicio (having a table and bread usually) plus a large bottle of water, and it was less than 55 Euro. Left well sated and thoroughly satisfied. Service is entertaining to say the least
