We spend in villa Magnolia 3 days and enjoyed our stay very much.
The rooms are clean ,big, comfortable and they are got a very nice old fashioned style..
There is a big and nice terrace.
The breakfast is perfect.
The service is outstanding - during my travels threw Italy and all the Europe i think it was one of the best services we ever had. Thanks Katya for your lovely explanation.
The only problem of the villa is its location - it is not convenient to get there by foot especially in the evening. You have to walk at about 5-10 minutes on the road almost without any margins, between 2 very high fenses.

We did not take any changes and took a taxy (about 10-15 euros from Rome city center).

Despite the location little problem, all other things are perfect, just perfect!

So let me say it shortly : If you are ready to pay an additional 20 euro a day for a taxy driver, that is one of the best places you can found in Rome.

Room Tip: Order an airport pickup with the taxy driver of villa its cheaper than take taxy not only in the air...

A really great place only 10min. walk from Trastevere. Very comfortable rooms and great breakfast. The hosts are very nice and everything is possible. Walking to the hotel is a bit difficult and the noise caused by cars speeding through the alley is not very nice. Earplugs did the trick though :-)

Villa Magnolia is a lovely place to stay. Lovely breakfasts on the terrace, conveniently situated if a little difficult to find for the taxi drivers [despite the helpful instructions on a card that the owner provides]. Just a perfect place to stay whilst visiting an amazing city like Rome.

Room Tip: There are not many rooms to choose from and I visited twice in 2013, once with friends and once with...

After reading the many, many glowing reviews online, we decided to book our 4 night stay in Rome here. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary, and we wanted something romantic and central. All other hotels looked dinky and small, while Villa Magnolia looked spacious and lush. We were NOT disappointed. When we first pulled up in the taxi we were nervous because it’s sort of tucked away and you think it’s in the middle of nowhere, but once you get the lay of the land it’s clear that you are about a 10-20 minute walk from the Vatican and Trastevere (highly recommend this area for shopping and eating). Sante greeted us and explained everything we needed to know, and all the women who we met who work there were kind and welcoming. Their espresso is to die for-it’s amazing! The rooms are beautiful and spacious and you have your own entrance and key to get in the gate. We didn’t make it for breakfast each day, but the staff was happy to bring us some espresso and pastries to our room when we woke up and asked. They gladly called taxis for us, provided recommendations, and cleaned our room each day. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Rome! We went to Amsterdam afterwards and realized we had been spoiled with the large room size at Villa Magnolia!

Room Tip: We had Room #2 which was the closest to the lobby and front entrance.

On arrival we found this beautiful b&B to be very much reflective of other reviews. It was a quiet haven in the middle of a busy city. We were so happy to come back at the end of each busy day. The true joy was the beautiful gardens surrounding the villa.
Lorenzo was extremely helpful and breakfast each morning was a feast to look forward to.

The place is wonderful. Rooms are big and with plenty of room. Located near the Trastevere in an exclusive neighborhood (Gianicolo) you will find elegant and charming treat from the owners, Sante and Raffaella and other employees.

My friends and I had researched many hotels in Rome, and we determined Villa Magnolia was a lovely spot to stay for two days. We were more than delighted with the accommodations, including the finely decorated rooms, as well as the unexpected charming grounds and gardens. The location of Magnolia is located in Trastevere which is a terrific area loaded with restaurants and great nightlife. Also, the site is a convenient walking distance to the Vatican. After a long day of touring we returned by taxi (modest fare).

Service at Magnolia is nothing short of impeccable. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by incredibly warm and helpful staff who assisted greatly in arranging for pickup of our rental car, as well as making calls for last minute tickets to the Colosseum for the morning of our last day. Sante, the owner spent time mapping a route for the must-see sites of our short stay. Also, he even offered to serve us breakfast (delicious and filling) before the usual time, so that we could be assured of getting to the Colosseum before our trip to the airport! We did not have to take advantage of the kind offer, however we feel the gesture was incredibly generous, and reflects a truly caring individual who is intent upon making every guest stay memorable. He succeeded in that regard. Many, many thanks to Sante and his wife and staff. We hope to return to Rome and this beautiful villa in the near future.
