We arrived there without a reservation and it was full for the all night.
We made a reservation for the day after.
The food was good.
The atmosphere was a bit old fashion and the price was quite expensive.
If you stay around we recommend it for a romantic dinner.

My husband and I had lunch at the Osterini Barberini the day we arrived in Rome. It was a short walk from our hotel at the Piazza Barberini and we were very tired. Happily, the wait staff spoke fluent English and explained their menu which emphasizes black and white truffles. My husband had the pasta with black truffles and I had the sea bream with white truffle sauce. Both were excellent. In particular, the white truffle sauce was delicate and the fish perfectly cooked. We were only sorry we didn't have time to return to the Osteria during our trip!

This food was amazing! We started with some bruschetta appetizer and then had lemon fettuccine and scallop linguine, finishing it off with a Tiramisu. They asked if we wanted bread and we said no, but brought it out anyways (and then charged us for it).

We had an unfortunate first impression because when we went in they asked if we had a reservation and we said no, and he kind of scoffed at us as if we were ridiculous for thinking we could eat there without a reservation, but then said that we could be seated in only 10 minutes (I think that was just good timing though... two other couples stopped by after us and they said they were booked for the next three hours). Afterwards, the man was nice, it was just the first impression.

Despite those two downsides, the food was excellent and we would probably go back (making sure to make a reservation) if we were in Rome again.

We went after reading the reviews on Trip advisor. The staff is very friendly, the food is good and the prices are fair. What more can you ask from a small touristic restaurant?

Went here after a recommendation. The food was good but the friendliness of the senior members of staff/management did not extend to all diners which let the overall service down. Waiters and waitresses were excellent.
