With limited options for dinner on Xmas day in Rome, we managed to secure a reservation at Piccolo Buco. The entire experience was fabulous, from the ambiance, the waiter, the house wine and the food! Especially the food. We tried the ravioli with mushrooms (the favorite meal of the nite), the gnocchi bolognese, the pizza margherita and the fettucini genovese. To top it off, the tiramisu and creme caramel were fantastic. We have a another week in Rome and will most certainly come back before the week is out!

This restaurant was wonderful. We were looking for authentic italian food on our last night in Rome and found it. We were warmly welcomed, given a table and then offered a nicer one when it became available without having to ask. The lasagna and tiramisu was amazing. The house wine was good too. The service was absolutely superb. Please attend this restaurant!

While not spectacular on the outside, we loved this little place by the trevi fountain. Filled with a crowd of locals and family-run, we did not feel like the american tourists we were. Very fresh ingredients, and excellent, personal service made this place a good stop in the heart of rome.

Very small restaurant a couple of blocks from the Trevi Fountain and you would think a restaurant right in the middle of a tourist area would have poor food but this was not the case. Very good authentic Italian food, reasonably priced, and great service. Came back to Rome after a cruise and went back to the restaurant on a Monday night but found it closed - disappointing. When in Roma, give it a try - I'm sure you'll enjoy it !!

This place is small so stop by and make a reservation. Luca is about to take it over from Papa or so he thinks......

Really, it is a real Gem, with good food and a family atmosphere. We stayed at an apartment nearby and got takeout several times, actually most every night. They gave us real plates with piping hot food, I have to stop talking about it or I will need to go back to Rome. Try it you will like it.
