The New Rome Free Tour is a perfect chance to get to know the city centre. It lasts about 2-2,5 hours, our group was quite big with people from all over the world. Andrea was a great guide, he was right on time with the "New Rome Free Tour"-label and he provided us with a lot of interesting information about different sights (also some info one cannot find in Internet/ travel guides).

Fantastic experience, highly recommend, if possible in your first day or so to get a good feel of the city. Great to walk around some of the main sights of rome and get a really interesting insight to them with lots of good information. the tour keeps moving, not hanging around at any one place for too long. tour guide stefano is worth a special mention, excellent guide, funny, interesting, articulate and passionate- what more could you want from a guide!

We've done several free walking tours, and this was right up there. Stefano knows the city well, and entertained us with his witty comments, especially his opinion of the carabini...err... ;) Highly recommended

This was an really enjoyable walking tour. Stefano was our guide and he really seemed to know his stuff! The Pantheon is closed on Sundays but that didn't stop him telling us as much as he could about the building. The tour went from the Spanish Steps (make sure you meet at the steps, there's another tour that goes 30 minutes earlier from the column), to San Andreas to see the two original Bernini angels, on to St Ignatius and the amazing tromp d'loeil, the Pantheon, Hadrian's temple and finally finished at the Trevi Fountain. There were more stops along the tour and Stefano was full of interesting information about the art and architecture.
The tour was 2.5 hours long, but the gelato shop at Trevi Fountain has great gelato so at least there's something to look forward to after all that walking!

While we had been to Rome before, it was a long time ago. I had hoped taking this tour on our first day would help orient us to the city. Unfortunately, the guide assumed everyone had been to Rome before and covered it a little differently. Despite having a big group in a crowded city, the guide was very informative and attentive. I enjoyed the tour very much.
