Arrived in Rome and first thing after hotel check-in is to get onto this tour to have an overview of the historical centre. Definitely worth the time and the guide is friendly and funny, knowledgeable too of course. It doesn't cover too much ground but as you may know in Rome you do get to see a lot of historical places without walking too much distance. We really enjoyed the time despite the cold weather and many thanks to the cappuccinos offered by the guide/the coffee place near Pantheon, such great coffee and friendly gesture. Thanks!

We really enjoyed taking this tour through Rome during our recent trip! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and very sweet. After guiding us through the Pantheon, it was quite cold outside, so he took us to Tazza D'Oro and bought each of us a cappuccino or espresso! Very nice gesture and very good coffee! It was nice to hear that our tips would be given to a local charity.

I have previously had good experiences with talking a free walking tour in a city early after arrival. This was no exception.

After arrival in Rome earlier in the afternoon, we took the free two hour tour as our first activity. Though it turned out to be a rather cold night in Rome, we did not regret going on this tour.

Andrea was our knowledgeable, friendly and funny guide, proud to tell us about the "Eternal City". The tour will take you to lots of important sights in the area combined with facts and interesting stories. Andrea will also be happy to share advice about where to eat, have coffee and which tourist attractions to skip :-)

Apart from being an enjoyable tour itself, the information you get on the tour is an excellent context for understanding the history of Rome.

So in general, I found the tour to be a great introduction to Rome.

We took many different walking tours in Rome, but this was the best of all. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We even ate dinner that night at one of his recommended places.

What also impressed me was that the tips that they get for their free tour (which is not their primary occupation, and that's why it's in the evening) go to various different charities.

We (senior citizen and 29 yr old) took the free 2 hour walking tour of Rome from the base of the Spanish Steps. Our guide, Flaminia, was knowledgeable, professional and spoke clearly, especially important considering our group was composed of tourists from English speaking countries as well as China, Brazil and Poland. A great intro to Rome.
