We first visited this ristorante a year ago and our memories of it were that it was very special. Some people say you should never go back because they fear the reality will never be as good as the memory. We went back to Eleonora D'Arborea and the reality was just as good as the memory. The antipasta di casa was as spectacular as ever and was so ample that we had only a sorbetta or a gelato to follow although i camarieri made sure that we had their complimentary torti and choice of digestivi to go with our wonderful caffe'. We had tonno marinato among the dishes that I have never seen elsewhere and the pane sardo -carasan with olio d'olivo ruined my diet because I could not resist it. Looking around, there were very few empty seats and the majority of the diners were romani ; I would think that most of the clientele came originally by word of mouth recommendation and came back for more. Il proprietario was ever present meeting and greeting and one had no doubt that he ensured that no-one would ever have reason to be unhappy with the food or service if he had anything to do with it and I find it incredible that there have been the very rare examples of unhappy guests. We can speak highly enough of il ristorante,i camarieri, il cibo and especially il proprietario. Give yourself a treat and go, not for a meal, but for an unforgettable experience.
