“Quaint, Serene, Terrific”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

After visiting The Church of S. Ignazio of Loyola we stepped into the beautiful Piazza di S'Ignazio and spotted this restaurant. There was plenty of outside seating and a lot of happy customers seated along the tables.
The first great sign was how friendly the staff greeted us as we walked up to the large canopies. The second great sign was the bread--it had flavor much better than the usual stuff handed to tourists at many Rome restaurants.
We ordered a calzone and a margharita pizza, and both were good. The service was great. We highly recommend it!

“In a quiet square”
Reviewed August 26, 2012 via mobile

We found this restaurant whilst doing the free walking tour. A very pleasant square with a church. It seemed very popular. The food was very nice but a bit expensive. Free bruschetta (very nice) but some customers got a "puffy" bread as well whilst some didn't. We would go back again even though it charges 15% service charge.

“Wonderful outside patio near the Spanish steps”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

I fell in love with Rome as soon as I arrived. We found this wonderful restaurant after visiting the Vatican. It was in early May and the weather was perfect. We had a wonderful lunch on the covered patio. We shared experiences with a lovely couple from Ireland who had flown to Rome to enjoy the fine weather. A week later, after visiting Florence, Gubbio and the Cinque Terre, we returned to Rome for our last evening. We went back for dinner and it was wonderful. The waiter brought us delicious appetizers and one wonderful puffy bread. The pasta alla cecca was delicious. We asked for a nice red wine and the waiter brought us a delicious bottle. They were very flexible about how much you wanted to drink in case you did not want a whole bottle. This restaurant was a delight. Can't wait to go back

“A good place for lunch!”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

This restaurant was recommended to us prior to departure to Italy. We decided to have lunch here the day we visited the Fontana di Trevi and the Pantheon. (The restaurant is within short walking distance of both.)

The Antipasti Misto (mixed apetizers) and the Spaghetti Carbonara was especially mentioned in the recommendation, so vi chose to try both. And we were very happy with it! The Antipasti consisted of six-seven different small dishes - most og them served cold. Among other things we got delicious meatballs in tomato based sauce, mozarella, grilled peppers, eggplant and zucchini. We were actually quite full after the antipasti, so we thought that a portion of spaghetti carbonara would be too much. But the waiter cheerfully accepted a request to get half portions of the carbonara, for also half the price! As we were enjoying the carbonara, the waiter also came and jokingly gestured to take away what was left, because he now thought we had eaten enough! We thought this was hillarious, and the waiter also seemed to enjoy beeing able to have a joke with his guests.

We sat outside on a smoldering hot day. Inside seating is also available. But we recommend sitting outside, so you're able to observe what's going on in the square. It was rather peaceful there while we where visiting: A welcome contrast to the huge crowd of people flocking around the nearby Pantheon.

“Avoid!”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

This place was recommended to us by a friend so we were really looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The free bread and bruschetta were ok but the main meal was very bland. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly and that the best thing to say about the place. Avoid!
