“Great Location, Luxurious”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

We had a great experience at this hotel. Once again, Jumeirah set the standards in Rome. Luxurious hotel, 5-star in my eyes. Nice room (518), beautiful bathroom and shower. Spa was nice, hydromassage pool and it was nice!! You should definitely take a a couple hours to enjoy this part of the hotel- indoor pool, sauna, and steam room. Great location btw. Had a minor issue with bed cleanliness and the hotel staff made it worse but trying to put the dirty pillow on our belongings. This needs to be mentioned to the staff. A little disappointed, and this needs to be addressed.

Room Tip: 518 was nice.

Last year was nice...good room (518), good breakfast, good staff.
But this year, the hotel was in working and we had a lot of deception : a dirty room (409), cheap breakfast, they canceled a lot of food, and a lot of things has changes since last year. For example they have canceled the fruits at the spa, different kinds of jam at the breakfast, the bottle of Prosseto too.
Last year the breakfast was in a nice place, but now they closed this place and we are at the bar of the hotel. It"s too small, the staff and the guest could not move easily.
After changing the room, the other one was very noisy. From 4AM to 6:30 AM you could heard the sound of the washing machines. It was horrible....
We often go to the 5 stars hotels and i can say that this one is just a 4 stars at least...
And too much expensive....

We stayed one night passing through Rome on a cruise and were very impressed with the service and ambiance here. The rooms are a nice size and the finishes are top notch. The lobby is a little compact, but the rooms are well proportioned. The only issue we had was with the AC not working well enough in our rooms during our hot August visit.

Room Tip: Via Veneto rooms appear to be the best choice. There is an inner courtyard and you would not want on...

My stay at the Grand Hotel Via Veneto in Rome was quite a treat. Located in a quiet area, the hotel is within walking distance from most of my favorite attractions such as the Spanish Steps, the Via del Corso, Via Condotti, Piazza Campo Dè Fiori, and Piazza Navona. I took public transportation to the Vatican, Trastevere, and the Porta Portese outdoor market, but it could be a nice walk if you have the time. My room was very large and comfortable with every amenity one could desire. The bathroom was luxurious, and the bed was heavenly. The rest of the property was also lovely—especially the little reading room/library. The spa was closed during my visit so I cannot comment on that area, or the rooftop pool (the temperature was cold, so I didn't use it either). I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a luxury stay in Rome. The staff were accommodating, and especially the doormen, Silvio and Giovanni who made me feel welcome and gave me directions to the places I wanted to go. I am hoping to return to the Grand Hotel Via Veneto as soon as I can!

Room Tip: 307 and 308 are the best rooms.

We had just a one night stay at the Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto. The hotel is modern, beautifully decorated, perfectly maintained, with gracious and friendly staff. The rooms are a good size, we had the deluxe room with Via Veneto view and we were happy overall.

Our only complaint was the temperature of the room. It was pretty hot and humid in Rome during our stay and we couldn't get the temperature in our room down to a decent level. We had turned down the thermostat to the lowest possible setting of 18 degrees, but the room never broke 25 (76 degrees or so). We called for maintenance who came to the room, looked at the thermostat to verify that we had set it properly (which we did) and then left saying there was no issue. To power the room (plus air conditioning), you are required to insert the key into the wall. but even 4 or 5 hours of being in the room it was just as uncomfortable. Realizing we would have to make due, we requested a fan for the room, but were told they didn't have any at the hotel.

It's still a great property, but we would only return to the hotel if was during the winter months!

This hotel compares well with any of the other 5 star city hotels we have stayed in over the years. Design is art deco, with well appointed and very quiet rooms and a lovely lobby bar for drinks. Breakfast was by far the best of our 2 weeks in Italy, with the option of a buffet or ordering from the menu (waffles, eggs benedict etc.). Service is excellent at every turn. The location is in the posh Via Veneto, and we walked to many sights (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain) without difficulty. Try the Jumeirah website for seasonal specials, we found a very attractive rate available for a 3 night stay.

This hotel was excellent for the whole of our 7 day stay. Service was impeccable from friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. This was amazing luxury at a very reasonable price. Good walking distance to many famous sights.

Room Tip: We stayed in a deluxe room, very spacious and quiet.
