“Excelent location (best in Rome), new rooms!”
Reviewed September 12, 2010

Stayed there for 4 nights, rooms are almost all renovated (I don't know if they are still renting the non renovated rooms, I suggest to ask for new rooms anyway). Staff is very friendly (Sara is very helpfull and friendly). Rooms are beautiful but a little bit small, especially the bathroom. The only problem was the dust, I think due to the renovation works, there was a lot of dust comming from the air conditioner.

Spent 3 nites here late August. Had 2 rooms for 2 couples- both were on Floor 3 in Minerva style rooms. These were very small (we had 2 large luggage bags and there wasn't enough space on the floor for both without blocking your access off to each side of the bed). the bathroom was also one of the smallest we had on a 5 week european holiday.
As our rooms had no view over the Piazza noise was not an issue, although during the day construction was occurring on a lower floor in the hotel but this didn't affect us at all.
Breakfast was provided each morning, but choice was lacking in cereals and spreads for bread (only cornflakes and apricot jam provided).
Benefits were room controlled air con- a big plus in the 34 degree heat. The front desk staff were also very polite and informative. Free internet was available thru wi-fi or from a computer in the breakfast room.
Was in a great location- right on Piazza Della Rotunda- Pantheon straight out the front door, Piazza Navona a couple blocks away and all the historical sights within easy walking distance.

We chose the Pantheon Royal Suite primarily for location. It simply cannot be beat! Having stayed in Rome a number of times, we have chosen central hotels near Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona.

None matched Pantheon Royal Suite for such an incredible spot. Our rooms were upgraded when we arrived (totally unexpected and very welcome) and we were placed on the 4th floor overlooking the Piazza Della Rotunda with a magnificent view of the Pantheon. After a number of stays in Rome that were constantly disturbed with the sound of traffic and in particular, emergency vehicle sirens, we were a touch concerned that we would again experience poor sleep. However, we were very pleasantly surprised at the low level of noise at the Pantheon Royal Suite - just a constant low hum of voices in the evening hours with the occasional busker but niching more!

Having read earlier reviews on TripAdvisor, we were aware of construction issues during 2009 but it was clear when we arrived that the Pantheon Royal Suite has come through the renovation in style. The rooms were bright and modern with new bathrooms and crisp white decor. Nowhere were there any signs of the tired hotels that we have experienced in the past in Rome and other European cities.

Before we arrived we arrqnged our transport through the hotel. Communication via telephone and email was very quick and precise. Our welcome was warm and the service we received during our stay was equally quick and efficient as our experience pre-arrival.

In the past we have paid twice the amount that the Pantheon Royal Suite charged for a fraction of the quality. We would highly recommend Pantheon Royal Suite - the location alone beats all other hotels hands down, the quality, comfort and service add to the appeal.

My husband and I have have a guest house in Camps Bay and are rather fussy about cleanliness, service and location - this place ticks all the boxes. We loved our stay here. On arrival we were greeted by Sara, who was friendly and helpful right from the start. We were surprisingly upgraded to the most perfect room, clean linen, beautiful decor and the view of the Pantheon to die for. Our bed was such a talking point, as you could push a button and the bed would rise up with a welcoming reward of a jacuzzi underneath, sheer bliss, fun and romantic, but then again that is what Rome is all about. We stayed here for 4 nights after a chilling time with a group of friends in Orvietto and we loved every moment of staying here. The Pantheon Suites is a perfect place to explore the whole of Ancient Rome and to step back into history. I would recommend this place to anyone, don't even ask questions, just book and stay there.

Rooms are small clean and standard level. Great to walk out on one of the world's most famous piazzas. And the positive side stops about there. Works are still being completed in the building, the service and personnel need to learn manners to accomodate guests and to welcome new people to the hotel. Try to avoid Elizabetta, Very rude and maybe take for granted that they are on Piazza della Rotonda and that there are many other hotels in Rome.

The biggest bonus regarding this hotel is the location - it is central to everything and we were literally able to walk to all the sites in Rome with ease and come back to the hotel throughout the day to freshen up or rest during the heat of the day.
Pros:
The hotel was very clean, had a great little breakfast room with a perfect view of the Pantheon, the A/C in our room was fabulously cool, there was a fridge in our room, as well as robes, slippers and big towels.
Cons:
No signage identifying the hotel from the outside (be sure to arrive with the address in hand). Our room (room 305) did not have a real window, just a little window that was very high and was only open to the hallway - we could hear a lot of street noise at times as well as other guests coming and going.
I would still recommend this hotel to anyone and would consider staying there again.

We stayed in a deluxe room with spa that overlooked the Piazza. The view and location were fantastic. Walking distance to most tourist spots. The spa was in an unusual spot- literally under the bed. The bed raises with the push of a button and hangs suspended over the spa. We were a little wary of using the spa for fear of the bed falling on us. Wouldn't pay the extra for spa again. Overall room was clean and nicely furnished. The complimentary mini bar was a nice little extra - wine, beer, mineral water and fruit juice provided. Breakfast was very basic, but enough to get you going for the day. We found it best to explore the many little side streets for cafe's/restaurants, as the one's in the Piazza are overpriced. The BEST restaurant we can recommend for the best pizza, service and value for money, is Rosso Pomodoro, follow Via Di Torre Argentina till you get to a T intersection with a set of lights. Cross the road, Rosso Pomodoro on right....a 10min walk from hotel, and the BEST gelato at The Cremeria, also on Via Di Torre Argentina, only a few minutes walk, opposite the Pantheon.
