“Great value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

Had 2 carbonaras, 2 side dishes; artichoke and spinach, 2 glasses of house white, and the pistachio creme brulee for dessert. Only came up to 44 Euros. Best carbonara I've had and an all round good meal. It's also just around the corner from rex-tours who have great segway tours around Rome.

“Roman Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

Don't expect anything refined, elegant or chic. Do expect Roman food cooked impeccably, hearty and tasty. That's it, with these expectations you cannot be dissatisfied.

“Reasonable food, poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

Food was reasonably good, big portions and not too expensive. However service was disappointing, maybe because restaurant as very busy. Sides we order to go with our main came after we almost ate all food. One waiter to serve all dinners at the time was running and basically throwing plates on a table. After we left a restaurant there was a queue outside to get in, so it must be good after all. Maybe it was just bad night for service.

“Good food, nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

We stayed in the apartment above this restaurant, and listened to the sounds of enjoyment coming form it every evening, so decided to give it a go one night. We found the staff friendly and welcoming, the food delicious, and the atmosphere pleasant. We were the only non-Italians that night, didn't seem overly touristy to us !

“Nice place, good food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2012

Nice, cozy restaurant with good service. Mix of tourists and locals, and clearly became more local as the evening went on, always a good sign. My vegetable flan appetizer was good, the cacio e pepe pasta well-executed. My partner thought his carbonara pasta was too salty but otherwise good. Waiter steered us to a good, reasonably-priced wine. Just three stars might seem a little harsh, but we felt the place fulfilled expectations but nothing more. Would have been happy to go back again but ran out of time.
