“Nice, modern boutique hotel”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

The hotel is in a great location to do all the touristy things a tourist needs to do, you can pretty much walk to everything or take the subway, which is one block away at the Spagna station, which was very convenient. The room was pretty clean on arrival, but the cleaning people through our 5 night stay started to slowly slack off as the week went on, forgetting to restock essential items in the bathroom and seemingly only just made the bed everyday. But, the room was modern and comfortable, with a view of the street and pretty much the size of your average european hotel. The service at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful.

The only issue that really posed a problem for us and the reason I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel was that the walls are paper thin and our room was located right in the breakfast area, so we could literally here low talking and the clanking of forks all morning. The people who stayed in the room next to us were completely obnoxious, they came home late one evening and were literally banging all night long, stomping her heels around, up and down for hours and screaming at eachother in a heated argument, it was awful, we got absolutely no sleep. Then, I mentioned it to the front desk and they said they were checking out, ahhhhh, relief from 2 nights of weird banging and an horrid argument, or so I thought. The new people were also into banging, I have no idea what these people could possibly be banging, everything is attached to the walls, you can't move any furniture around.

So, it's really too bad, because the people who work here are really nice, the room is nice and comfortable (but they need to keep up the cleaning a bit better) and the location and price of this hotel are great, but the noise factor is just plain awful and I just couldn't conceivably recommend staying here if you want a good nights sleep.

We stayed two nights at the Stay Inn. Location was great but there were many negatives... As there were 3 of us, the first room was TINY!!! So small that there was no place to put our suitcases! Floors were dirty, no remote for the tv and shower was dirty. (Not to mention the breakfast room was less than a meter from where we slept!!!) Thankfully we moved to a slightly larger room which was much better. Once again floors dirty, shower dirty and did not drain properly.. Then there was breakfast, sugar sugar sugar!!! Not even toast or fruit as an option. Very disappointed overall. Saving grace was its excellent location!

Before booking this hotel I was a littled worried that the high ratings were for the shopping neighborhood, I am not a shopper. I was wrong! Yes, there are many shops but with those shops comes police officers on foot walking around making sure there are no problems. We felt so safe that we walked to the Trevi fountain one night at 1 am (with our 14 yr old daughter). I really appreciated the upscale neighborhood, the active vibrant area, the pharmacy and food choices in the immediate area. We are not big fans of walking long distances, everything was a very short walk. The hotel was great. The staff was so helpful that when their computer went out they called the hotel 2 doors down and arranged for us to use thiers. Very accomodating.

On our way home we met a couple that stayed near the train station and felt unsafe much of the time. They experienced people stealing food from plates while waiters walked to the kitchen, many beggers and shifty characters. I can honestly say we saw NONE of that. If you are a little safety concious or nervous about walking around at night - this hotel is for you!

Room Tip: Air conditioning was great also, not typical for a European hotel.

If you're in Rome for shopping, this location can't be beat. All the best stores are just down or around the block. The folks at the desk were very sweet and accommodating, and the room was a nice size with a nice clean bathroom. No view from where we were, but we weren't in the room much anyway. Next time I come I will probably stay closer to Campo de Fiore just because that's where we ended up spending most of our time (it's a bit more vibrant), but if you want to be close to Piazza Espana and all the niceness that comes along with that, this place offers an amazing value. The worst thing I could possibly say is that breakfast could have been better (but who cares) and it was a bummer they didn't have a secure place to store our luggage before and after check in/out. That said, the luggage was all there when we came back so no trouble there. Recommend!

Very small hotel within a larger building. The rooms were very contemporary but large especially in comparison to other hotels in Rome. The staff was extremely pleasant and provided a warm welcome. The rates were extremely reasonable as well. As far as the location - it is within easy walking distance of many attractions and cafes. If you are looking for anything else at night (clubs, etc) it will require a taxi or bus. Overall, a great place!

Small, central situated hotel direct on the Via del Corso. Very friendly personal ! Rooms are small, like nearly all rooms in Rome. Nice bathrooms that could be a little bit cleaner.

Only minutes away from the metro station "Spagna" (linea A), directly in the area of the best boutiques when you're out for a little shopping spree. Every important historic building or place is easily reached within an hour footmarch.

I stayed here before and will return in december

Perfect spot for a short stay. My wife and I spent 2 nights on our way to Tuscany. Comfortable room in a great central location close to shopping, restaurants and tourist spots including piazza navoa, trevi fountain and spanish steps with wi-fi. One way street was difficult for taxi to find and had to walk a block with our luggage. No such problem encountered on our departure.
