We made reservations for 8:30pm on a Saturday night. We arrived 1/2 hour early and got our table immediately. The son took our drink orders of water and wine. When it was time to order, a woman in our party inquired about gnocchi as it wasn't on the menu. The waiter could see her disappointment and quickly said "I will go ask Moma". When he returned, he said Moma said okay. We all had appetizers of prosciutto and cheese which was fresh. The six of us all had different orders ranging from risotto, pasta, filet mingnon to fish. The food was excellent and the service was great. The price for the two us was less than 70 euros with wine. We would have gone back the following night but it is closed on Sundays. We would definitely recommend this restaurant but would make reservations as there are not many tables. The restaurant is cozy and homey...can't wait to go back.

This lovely little family run ristorante was everything and more than what we expected from having read the Trip Advisor reviews. The location is not easy to find, but that's what allows it to be a quiet oasis in a bustling city. The decor simple but pretty, particularly for the outside tables. We began dinner at 9pm and the restaurant was about 2/3 full. The food was outstanding and we thought very reasonably priced for the quality and portions. Amongst us we had beef tartare, zucchini pasta (Santa Cristina Delight), Pennette all' Arrabbiata, gorgonzola chicken, veal steak, grilled vegetables, and salads. The house red wine was very good and only 14 euro! The service was attentive but certainly not evenly orchestrated like one would expect in a 5 star, but more like dining at a friends house. The Gagliarducci family who run this gem are so warm and friendly we felt like their house guests by the end of the evening. A special thanks to Enrico who was kind enough to help us visit the Trevi Fountain after dinner - just a few short blocks away. Two words: Go Here!

How lucky we were to be staying at The Hotel Bolivar immediately opposite this little gem. While Mum and Dad cook in the kitchen, the daughter is front of house with such a warm and friendly welcome. It's a real break from standard Roman fayre (some of which is lo very good). The smoked tuna carpaccio and beet root risotto was made with such care and precision. Will definitely visit again next time we're in town.

I was served by the brother and sister combo of bartender and waitress. Service was great. If they say it is "piquante" IT IS! House wine was very acceptable for the style of food. Mioo red wine.....

The family is clearly Italian but their English was perfect for warm service.

Food portions were generous by European standards. I had mozzarella and smoked salmon followed by penne alla arrrabionata. Did I mention the ice cream and warm chocolate sauce!....Don't tell my doctor.

Two courses and a bottle of wine to myself was less than 45 euros.
