“Quality/price ratio unbeatable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

I definitely recommend this hotel. First of all for the quietness of the area, a residential and safe area where strolling around day or night is a pleasure. It’s not in the centre of the town but that’s not a problem at all. I didn’t try the subway but there are two buses just 200 m away from the hotel on Via Nomentana which takes you either to the railway station (Termini) or the Piazza Venezia in 10-15 min. The staff was great, very friendly and always available either at the front desk, at the bar or at breakfast time. The breakfast is very good with enough choice and variety (cereals, fruits, yogurts, pastry, etc.) and excellent coffee. The breakfast room and the living room are perfect areas, comfortable and very well decorated. The rooms are a bit more old-fashion especially the bathrooms where one would have enjoyed a bit more of design and modernity. The only decoration mistake in the bedrooms, in my opinion, is the cheap metal-plastic chairs kind of Conforama which shouldn’t be found in this type of hotel (but this is a minor thing of course). The soundproof of the room was neither the best when the neighbor from upstairs walks with shoes. However the quality price ratio of this hotel is unbeatable and makes Relais 6 an excellent choice for Rome. Villa Torlonia and the Quartiere Coppedè are at walking distance and a must if you stay in this hotel. There were not many restaurants opened while I stayed here because of Xmas holidays but at least I can recommend “Bruto” and “Ristorante Eleonora D'Arborea” both at walking distance (15 min). Check always the offers at the website of the hotel, often more interesting than any other website (booking.com or other). Grazzie mille tutti at Relais 6.

Dear Jorge, thanks for the nice review. We are grateful that you enjoyed the Relais 6 and style. Ours is a small hotel in a building of the 30s and we have tried to maintain a minimal style typical of the period. Thank you enjoyed all our services.
Best wishes from us all.

Our family was at the Relais6 for eight nights and enjoyed it immensely! The hotel is a quick walk to the metro and it was nice to be out of the city a bit to be in a quiet neighborhood. The free breakfast was a welcome treat since it's nice to be able to go downstairs for a good breakfast instead of going out. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The hotel staff was polite and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any travelers who want to vacation in Rome!

We just got back from a New Year break and stayed at this hotel with our 2 teenage children. We had the apartment on the third floor - 2 separate rooms with one bathroom and perfect for 4 as long as 2 don't mind sharing a large sofabed.
The hotel is furnished to a high standard with large comfortable beds, and because it isn't in the centre it is good value for money. They've just opened a new metro station (Annibale/St Agnese) which is 5 minutes walk away. This gets you on the network, and will take you to Colosseo in ten minutes - so travelling in and out is a breeze, and actually you really appreciate the quiet location after the bustle of central Rome. Breakfast is provided and very good - a continental style spread and nice coffee. The hotel doesn't do dinner, but around the rather smart neighbourhood there are quiet a few good restaurants, or go back in to the centre after an early evening break back at the hotel.
Staff are great - very helpful and friendly. Kids were kept happy with free Wi-Fi.
We would definitely recommend for a family or couples - next time we plan to go without children and will stay here again.

Relais 6 Hotel is really great family hotel. We stayed there 6 days.

Advantages:
really friendly staff,
nice breakfast,
wi-fi covering the whole hotel,
location: near to metro station - easy access to any part of the city.

One disadvantage is a quite small standard room - around 17sq.m.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for holiday.

We stayed in the hotel a couple of nights and it was perfect. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and they take the time to make you feel at home. The rooms are very nice, small but yet spacious. Room was clean and tidy and had everything we were looking for. Free wifi codes upon check-in that is valid for your duration of stay, free and fast enough. Although the hotel is outside the main city center, taking the bus takes about 15 min to Termini and from there the subway is less than 10 min to where ever you want ti go. Within 30 minutes you can be at any of the tourist attractions, get back at night and be out of the noisy city, perfect! If I ever visit Rome again, I will rebook the hotel.

I selected this location from Tripadvisor and was very satisfied of the choice.

I stayed here for 3 nights together with my teenage sons and we were fully satisfied of the quality of the hotel, the cleanness of the rooms, the great choice of breakfast and the elegance of the ambient.
We were assigned a comfortable two bedroom apartment with a wardrobe room complete of safe.
Included as complimentary also Wifi and minibar.

Despite some comments from other visitors complaining for the location, I wish to clarify that the closest metro station (S. Agnese / Annibaliano) is just a 5 min walk, meaning that you can reach the Colosseum in 15 to 20 min.: not bad at all.
Located in a nice and safe area, close to some embassies. Considering that the peripheral areas of Rome are not that nice, this choice allows a good stay in a safe and accessible zone without forking out crazy prices for centrally located hotels.

Breakfast a real treat. Also nice lounge to sip a good whiskey and read a book after an extensive day sightseeing.

I highly recommend this hotel; in my opinion very suitable to the business traveller, couples or families with "hotel trained" kids.
In my opinion, perhaps not suitable for the backpacker or adventure traveller (from which I read some statements on which I differ).
Truly a a great location for visiting Rome.
Will be back. Promised.

Dear Angus! Thank you for the beautiful pictures posted and thank you for appreciating our small hotel. It 's true, the hotel is not in the center of Rome but is very convenient to get to the center by public transport. It's not far.
We really hope that you keep the promise to return.
