“Missing the little "extra"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2014

We booked the Una Rome after having read all the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We will most likely stay another place next time in Rome. The Una is located very close to the railway station Termini, and is therefore convenient when coming from the airport. The area is full of street vendors of all kinds, but we never felt there were any safety issues. It is a good 15-20 min walk from the areas of interest and also the reataurants that we preferred. The hotel is very modern and very well cleaned, rooms are average size with perfect bed and a very good bathroom. Breakfast is OK. We missed a place where one can relax - a garden , a roof terrace or similar. The few outdoor tables are not very nice. We were surprised to learn that the WI-FI was not included in our expensive room price, but charged at a very high rate. In 2014 you find free wi-fi in the smallest hotel or pizza shop. Tea- or coffemaking facilities in the room could also have been nice. More important though is that we missed the friendly smiles and a good athmosphere.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the tram lines. The tram passes by from early morning until late night

We recently visited the beautiful city of Rome for the first time and stayed at the exellent value - UNA Roma Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to go.
As soon as we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. We found out that our rooms had been upgraded for free which included a FREE mini bar and FREE WiFi. The rooms and bathrooms were very lovely indeed. Cleaned and stocked up every day!!
Breakfast in the morning was also very good. Lots to choose, from Cereal, Fruit, Croissants and even Bacon and Sausages!
The location of the hotel was perfect. Easy walking distance to all the main sights such as the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. Make sure to take comfy shoes as the best way to get around is by foot!
Would definitely return to this gorgeous hotel.

Pros:This hotel has a lovely ambiance and environment. The Staff were friendly. The room was wonderful.Good location near the train station and main bus stop ie Roma Termini The hotel did stored my luggage a day before checking in which was just wonderful and helped me out a great deal.

Cons:
1.After being at the hotel for 6 days, I was stopped and questioned. The doorman seemed to think I was not a guest at the hotel. I was left a little troubled that evening. 2. One day the room was partially made and as a result the following day I made it a point to phone to request that the room be made and replenished the next day. The room was not made. So for two days my room was not made and an apology was not made but blame was directed at me for having a do not disturbed card or a key in the room which was not the case. I was taken back by this response. Having made many bookings over the past 4 months this hotel ranked high on my list until this incidence and redirection of blame. I just wanted the room made up. I totally loved my stay in Rome and the facility is lovely. This incidence left a blemish. The service in all other areas was very good

I stayed here for a 4 night stay in early May. Hotel less than a 5 minute walk from the main train station called Termini which is very convenient. Very pleased with our choice. The person on reception was very helpful, check-in all completed in less than 5 minutes from arrival. We were offered free street maps of the area too. A nice surprise was the complimentary mini-bar and excellent quality wifi as part of my package.

Lots of marble in the interior, nice, comfy and modern furnishing in the hotel lobby. Our room was on the 4th floor and overlooked the internal courtyard. I would prefer this as to an external view as I'm sure it'd be quieter and there's no real view on the outide to get excited about.

The room was very large by European standards. Spotlessly clean. Bathroom had an excellent shower and a huge bath. Towels were huge, thick and fluffy. Perfect! Only think that annoyed me was the over-complicated lights and air conditioning control panels; I unplugged some lamps to turn them off in the end!

Excellent buffet breakfast, very helpful staff and lots of space meant that there was no waiting around to be seated. Usual varied choice of cereals, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, bread rolls, cakes and pastries, fruit drinks, cheeses and cold meats. One minor moan was that the fruit juices and water were a bit warm.

Overall, I couldn't fault this hotel, the staff, the room's decor and location were all excellent. The only 2 things to make it even better would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room and I wish it could have been made clear from the start that Rome city charges three euros per person as a city tax. Twenty four euro on the credit card of my stay wasn't expected.

However, this hotel fully deserves a very high rating and I would very happily stay there again.

Room Tip: Room 427 was large and peaceful overlooking the internal courtyard.

Good hotel , clean rooms. Location also very apt (near main station) and also good access with metro and bus for intercity travel . But be very careful of your belongings and cash. There might be some unfriendly ppl around this area. (Me and my wife were stolen of our passports and cash ) be extremely careful. Very helpful staff who guide you very nicely providing instructions on complimentary maps. Breakfast very good and nicely arranged.

Great location close to Termini train station. Less than two blocks. Great personal service by all employees to make your Rome experience the most it can be! Full breakfast gets you ready for a great day in the city. Great clean and quiet room. Also plenty of choices for lunch and dinner within 2 blocks of hotel. Multiple Hop on hop off bus locations within blocks of hotel. Overall the Una is a gem not to be missed!

Arriving by train at Roma Termini made this an extremely convenient walkable choice and having had a great experience at an Una hotel previously in Milan, it was an easy decision to book. I arrived and was given a fantastic room upgrade which did not disappoint - the view of the rooftops from the terrace included! Everything in the suite was perfectly in order and i got a great nights sleep. My only (admittedly minor given the room upgrade) gripe was the charge for wifi - it's not that I mind paying for it, it's the hassle of doing so - why not just charge an extra 3-5 euros per room which at these room rates no one will notice and give wifi for free? Having a full menu of different charging periods seems unnecessarily to focus attention on something which then looks like money grabbing. Otherwise exemplary service, good food and very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: 6th floor has terraces and the corners are very spacious
