“Great hotel for a city break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

Booked this hotel for a weekend break in Rome with a friend.
Great location right by the central train station and in walking distance of a lot of the big Piazza's and Basilica's. Plus many of the tour buses stop close by. Also many great places to eat all around the area.
The hotel is immaculately clean and in good repair. Our room (421) fell almost 'new'.
The bathroom was great - lovely big sink and mirror, rain-head shower and a lovely bath.
The beds were firm but comfortable. Wooden floors with free slippers!
The only downside as English visitors was there was only one English speaking tv channel (CNN news) - but we are in an italian hotel so ......
There was a tram line outside our window which concerned us but by the time we went to bed the trams had stopped and even when they were running it wasn't that loud. We heard no other guests around our room at night.
The free breakfast was really nice - cereals, fruits, breads, meats, cheeses, etc. We filled up nicely each morning before venturing out in to the city.
The bar was slightly overpriced so we didn't bother drinking there.
I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Rome.

The hotel is so close to Rome termini, good transportation to Fiumicino and excellent access to Termini metro station (the only intersection of Rome M1 and M2 metro lines). You have to stop at the 3rd metro station in the line A to Battistini (which is Spagna station ) to visit Fontana di Trevi (and walking through via Minghetti from Trevi, you can reach Pantheon and Piazza Navorna in 10 minutes) and 6th station (Ottaviano) for Vatican, Colosseum is also accessible by metro line B, Laurentina direction, 2nd stop (Colloseo). Very informative reception (especially Cristina), pretty clean room, good breakfast (not extra-ordinary,but good). THE MAIN PROBLEM was the central heating system. Our 1st room was cold and after the problem persisted, they changed our room, which was still cold. We had to sleep with extra blankets (and it was only Early November!).So, before unpacking, be sure about a good room temperature.(Do not trust if it is set to 24C, that 24 feels like 14!) and always ask for extra blankets!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms in the first floor, trams pass on a regular basis!

We were arranging an important business function here and, to be certain had previously "recced" several hotels in the area - particularly focusing on their ability to handle a large meeting for overseas guests and general facilities. We were not let down at all. The location is excellent in being near tourist attractions and the rail terminus, with many good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hotel decor is calm and unfussy and a nice change from the hustle and bustle outside. Meeting facilities were of high quality and refreshments on time and more than adequate. Staff were knowledgable, spoke good English and remembered you (and your requests) on second acquaintance - really nice. I would love to come back on a leisure trip!

We stayed 3 nights precruise and 3 nights post cruise. Both rooms were very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A good selection for Breakfast. We did find it slippery getting out of the shower. The bath is deep. We walked to the Colosseum, The Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps, etc. The location is great, and within 200 meters of the main Railway Station and Supermarket (Drug Store). We did a Vatican Tour and the pick up point was across the road. We ate at the IL Secchio Ristorante around the corner. Very good and reasonably priced. We took the Archeobus Hop On Hop Off and found it not very reliable with it's times. Half hour schedule ended up to be an hour. Have no trouble in recommending the Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the tram line. The rooms facing the courtyard are very quiet.

Modern and cool hotel, lovely spacious bedroom. Friendly receptionist staff. 30 euro parking charge a bit steep. Near Termini which is a big plus. Not far from the Coleseum and Palatine hill. (10 minute walk) .Good breakfast selection. Very peaceful nights sleep, room on 5th floor very quiet. The immediate area around the hotel is a bit seedy in places, so beware of that if wandering around. Very good hotel otherwise.

Had one night stay in October while transiting through Rome.
Close to train station which was our preference.
This area is not the best part of town but selected it for convenience factor, ease of short walk from the station and pricing.
Second visit to Rome and have stayed in same area at a different hotel.
Prefer Una Hotel as it was clean, modern fully refurbished rooms compared to other similar priced hotels in the area.
Had friends also staying at the Una and their room/ bathroom was also of a high standard.
Experienced plumbing problem with the toilet but possibly to be expected with old buildings in Rome.
Was not worth complaing about in view of the one night stay.
Shower is located over a deep bath which may be an issue for elderly travellers.
Did not detract from our stay and would stay at Una Hotel on future visits.

We read some reviews since we were looking for a good hotel near the railway station, so we decided to try this hotel. It was great, the room and bathroom were clean. The hotel is within walking distance from Termini railway station.
