We just returned from a wonderful trip to Italy. Out stay in Rom at Gli Scipioni was a nice way to start our holiday. Right you felt like being at home without any clean up needed. Carlos appeared each morning with a smile to take care of that part. Fully stocked kitched including fresh fruit for breakfast. Ample space in the room, in our case for 3. 1 child, 2 adults. All the items you we take for granted at home like tissues, cold bottled water, soap etc. Great restaurant downstairs and one door over if you are tired of walking from the day but still want a great meal. Location was just great to access all of Rome and the metro if needed. If we return to Rome, this is the place for us. Thank you to all who made our stay so wonderful.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon, and found the B&B was a great base for exploring Rome. Henry and Antonella welcomed us on our first day and gave us lots of information about the city. We stayed in the orange room, which was absolutely lovely and really well equipped - everything that we could possibly have wanted was provided without us having to ask, including wine which was very much appreciated!
Breakfast was fairly basic, but was plentiful and completely adequate.
We would definitely recommend this B&B and if we do return to Rome, we would be happy to stay here again.

My friend Alexis and I stayed there for 4 nights and we absolutely love it!

Love
- the good old wooden door that we felt like coming back to our home each day.
- the retro elevator was super fun. Something we never get to experience in Singapore!
- the room was spacious, cheerful and equipped with quality amenties. The bathrobe is really 1 of the best. :p we have a great selection of dvds to watch and we never go hungry with the food in the kitchen!
- david the superb owner who gave us a really in-depth introduction to Rome including the places to eat and we ate every night at Vito, our fav pizzeria just opposite the b&b!
- the location is very convenient and assessible to vatican city and the city centre. We followed david's recommendation and walked the journey of rome. It is possible to walk to many places of interest such as colosseum and enjoy the view and experience the culture of rome on foot.

We will definitely come back again and "uncle david" will be our first choice! A very memorable first-time to roma! Thank you!!

This B&B is very close to the Vatican and a metro stop. The staff are extremely helpful and you wont find anyone more friendly. The room itself it quite secure, theres a number of doors to get through to get into your room which is a good thing in Rome. They've thought of lots of things eg. small pack of tissues to take out with you, folder of movies to watch in your room etc. Breakfast lets them down a little, some fresher food would go a long way. Overall a great place to stay.

Ciao,
Grazie for the review.
By way of clarification, all our breakfast products are 'freshly' bought daily from the local supermarket including fresh fruit and eggs.
Which you can't get fresher than that!
Please do tell what we could have provided fresher?
We are always open to suggestions and constantly strive to improve.

This is a brilliant B and B. The location, so close to the Vatican and the Metro, plus restaurants and other shops, makes it a great base for tourists.
The level of helpfulness from the hosts was nothing short of amazing, especially as we were well out of our suggested time to check in.
The bedroom was spacious and the hospitality tray was very generous. The room was quiet at night and the air conditioning user-friendly.
The bathroom had been thoughtfully arranged and was very clean, good quality towels and robes left out for guests.
The breakfast is self-service which we love. There's an excellent and abundant range of food and drink to choose from, with plenty of fresh fruit available.
I have some of the cards from this B & B to give to friends looking for a place to stay in Rome as I'm more than happy to suggest it as a home from home.

Modern, spacious rooms, good value & great location! Only 2 mins from Vatican Museum and the same from nearest subway. The perfect location to base and tour Rome in a couple of days. Welcome bottle of wine in our room was the feather in the cap!

We stayed for 3 nights 27th -30th August. We are quite satisfied with the location(very central, only 200m from the Vatican). The accomodation was clean and comfortable. Excellent amenities. David and his staff -Henry provided excellent service. David was away, but he called upon our arrival to check if everything is ok. He helped arrange transport even after we have left the B&B. Henry took alot of trouble to explain to us how to get around Rome, gave us great tips, brought us to a very good tour agency. We appreciate Henry's friendliness and honesty.
A place we would recommend friends to stay.
