We only wish Bruno was our guide in Venice and Florence. His knowledge was superb, as he answered every question with depth and detail. We only had two days to experience Rome and we spent 6 hours with Bruno. What we experienced in that short time would have taken us 3 or more days on our own because we skipped all of the lines in Ancient Rome and The Vatican, plus he directed us to all of the most important sites. Skipping the lines alone made the tour worth the money, but Bruno's charm, knowledge and experience were invaluable. He also gave us advice on food, wine, culture and shopping that helped us survive our first visit to Italy. We could go on and on about our experience, but words alone cannot express our appreciation. Grazie mille, Bruno, you're the best! Thanks a million for sharing your beautiful city with us!

Bruno gave us a wonderful tour of the Collisseum. So much better than trying to do it on my own. There were so many stories and interesting facts we would have never known. I especially loved the latin words and phrases, thier origins and our related english words, many will surprise you! Bruno was very familiar with our country (America) and our political system and current events so he could correlate them to our delightful Roman history lesson in a way that we could relate to and undertand. I think he must study in detail all countries to be well prepared for his tour groups. We loved Bruno and highly recommend his tours!

Based on other reviews here, we booked two half day tours. The first was a morning tour of the Colosseum/Forum/Capitoline Hille and nearby , and the next day we did a half-day tour of the Vatican/St. Peters. Both tours, while a bit expensive, were definitely well worth the cost. We learned more than we ever could on our own, didn't waste time, and had a personal tour aimed at all of us, including our children.

Our first tour was led by Francesca. Communication was clear and we met her in an easy to locate place near the Colosseum. Francesca was highly knowledgable, personable and a great guide. She made the tour especially interesting for our children. While she shared a lot of information, she did it in a way that was interesting for both adults and children. She obviously has a deep knowledge of the subject. Whenever we asked questions she had detailed an interesting answers that reflected a deep understanding of history, architecture, etc. Francesca had this great book that showed how the current buildings and area looked when they were first built, and this was a great add-on to bring the place alive around us. It was so nice to just walk at our own pace, without worrying about crowds or itinerary or trying to read a book or look at a map. We really like Francesca and would highly recommend her.

Our second guide was of the Vatican and was led by Francesca's boyfriend, Luka. While Francesca was more academic and serious, Luke was a bit more casual and funny. Both worked, just different styles. Luka had worked at the Vatican, so had a particularly good knowledge base. While Francesca had a book to supplement her talk, Luka used an iPad with mixed effect - at times it was clumsy and got in the way. Nonetheless, the tour was again very interesting, worthwhile and great for adults and kids alike. Luka paid special attention to making the tour special for the children, including arranging a special private picture with a few Swiss Guards. Best of all, he took us to the most wonderful little restaurant after the tour, saving us from the touristy, awful places that surround the Vatican.

Again, we would highly recommend both Francesca and Luka.

It was my first time in Italy and my friend and I signed up for the Underground + Night food tour - such an unforgettable experience. Having a personal tour guide (Bruno) is great especially if it's your first time seeing Rome as you get to ask all the questions you want. At first i thought the food tour was a bit pricey but once you taste the dishes (+ overflowing wine), it is definitely worth every euro. Btw, added bonus... Bruno takes great photos!! :)

My boyfriend and I took the tour our first night in Rome and, boy, was this a treat! The tour was very informative and the sites looked fantastic at night, but the best part was the food. Lots and lots of it. The food was delicious: best in-season ingredients from authentic places. I really enjoyed the olive oil degustation. This tour armed us with the information to only get the best food during the rest of our stay. We used at least 3 of Bruno's recommendations and were super happy.
