We were on this tour last year. It wasn't until our return trip this week that we remembered where the building was at and what the name of the tour agency was.
We signed up for a tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. There were two females that guided us. If you can call it guiding. They were more concerned about talking amongst themselves and on their cell phones than anything. They would casually walk by things inside and briefly mention them without either stopping or showing emotion towards it.
If you asked a question you got a brief yes or no answer.
Then they told us not to buy anything inside the Vatican gift shops because they had a better place to take us. I assume their brother, cousin, next door neighbor or best friend owned a junk shop on the way to the Vatican and that's what they dropped us off at to buy overpriced trinkets imported from China.
We were supposed to continue on with other parts of the tour but we decided to leave halfway through. We spent some time inside St. Peter's and took beautiful pictures. It was the best decision we made!
