My wife and I went on the colosseum and forum tour. Rachel, our guide, was very knowledgable and entertaining and was able to answer everyone's questions and make sure that all felt involved. She had very up to date knowledge on recent archeological developments. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this tour and Rachel as a guide. Thanks.

Markeatsgood, thank you so much for your review about your tour with us and Rachel. You pointed out one of the things that I admire most about Rachel aside from the capability of keeping everyone constantly involved, the capacity of understanding Archeology as a moving science, that constantly finds new information and potentially argues with the old one. History and Archeology are subjects that are constantly evolving and this is what Rachel is capable of telling our clients, as she is always updated with the latest research. Thank you. Sincerely, Angelo Carotenuto, LivItaly Tours LLC, Owner and Manager.

Our LivItaly airport transport was seamless. There was serious weather and our driver waited for us and our niece, who arrived an hour late. It is always so exhausting to arrive late on an international flight, but all was made well. Our driver was easy to recognize and we were happy that we waited for our niece's late flight. Seamless transport from airport to hotel. I highly recommend as we were carrying a lot of baggage. Thank you, LivItaly, for making us feel so welcome to Rome! - Nan

Nan, thank you so much for your review about your transfer service with us. We are lucky to be collaborating with one of the best companies around, that serves with tremendously professional drivers and nice vehicles. We are excited to hear your feedback about all the other tours that you and your family took with us. Sincerely, Angelo Carotenuto, LivItaly Tours LLC, Owner and Manager.

We took a total of five tours with Livitaly during our vacation in Italy. The tours and guides were: Vatican and Sistine Chapel (Daniela), Colosseum and Ancient Rome (Rachel), Florence walking tour (Raffaela), Uffizi Gallery (Rafaella), and Doge's Palace/Saint Mark's (Francesca). All of these tours were excellent. We were met promptly at the scheduled time (or sooner). Our guides were all highly educated with advanced academic degrees in the subjects they guided us on. PhDs and Masters degrees in art, art history, archaelogy; that's hard to top. The tours were all as advertised. We learned details that we would otherwise have missed out on. We selected Livitaly because of the they offered small group tours. As it turns out, we were the only participants and lucked out with five private tours. To its credit, Livitaly honors its commitment to the customers and runs the tour even if it isn't full. I highly recommend Livitaly. You won't be disappointed.

Philip H, what a great review you shared. This is the essence of what we are here trying to do at LivItaly Tours. Offer high-quality touring services all over the Italian peninsula, that not only fulfill people's needs of skipping the lines and be entertained, but rather give an enormously deeper sense and knowledge of what Italy is all about. Thank you for noticing that we did not cancel any of your small group tours even though it was just the two of you. This is something that no other company does. We feel that canceling is absolutely unacceptable as we live for this. Our guides understand and are willing to give the service no matter what. We are lucky to work with the best! Thanks, Sincerely, Angelo Carotenuto, LivItaly Tours LLC, Owner and Manager.

We booked a night tour of the Vatican as it promised a less crowded visit. Well maybe so but it was still very crowded. Luca was our tour guide and there were 5 in our group. We did manage to skip the lines and Luca was quite informative and showed us what he felt were the most important things to see. However there wasn't anytime for us to stop at things that caught our eye and we felt it was a rushed tour. Our visit to The Sistine Chapel was most disappointing as it was shoulder to shoulder crowded and did not feel like a chapel at all and we had little time in there as they announced it was closing time. It was not a cheap tour and we came away feeling a little disappointed.

Lynette, when I first read your review I was tremendously disappointed to read about your not-so-great-experience with us. The after-hours tour is, generally, a beautiful and different way to experience the Vatican Museums, as one can enjoy them in a different light, without the summer heat and crowds and also admire Saint Peter's Basilica with all the gorgeous theatre-lights once the sun has gone down. LivItaly Tours is a very small family-run-business and we constantly learn from our traveler's feedback, both in the good and in the bad.
After figuring out though the day you took the tour, I couldn't but think that you probably chose the worse day to visit the Vatican Museums. May 2nd happened after Easter Celebration, April 25th (Italian holiday), the Sanctification of two of the most famous Popes of recent Catholic History, April 1st (Italian Labor Day) and right before April 4th which is a Sunday. The Vatican Museums on any given day of those 2-3 weeks averaged between 40-45.000 visitors. Taking the Night Tour was probably your best bet in terms of crowds, but I can understand how it could still feel unsatisfying. I am relieved then, knowing this, and also by reading your review, that your disappointment was mostly due to the Vatican Museums accepting too many visitors on those days. Unfortunately that is completely and utterly out of our control. Luca did his best to manage your small group of 5 people as best he could, and I can understand how that could still feel rushed when it is so crowded. Alas, this was out of our control. Luca has read your review and is deeply affected by it, and will know for next time. And so will we! I am happy to know though that people that took the same tour that night reviewed us differently. Alas, this is the beauty of tripadvisor, every one has a different outlook on the same service. Thanks. Sincerely, Angelo Carotenuto, LivItaly Tours LLC, Owner and Manager

We decided to book one of the semi private tours with LivItaly to see the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica. We arrived at the prearranged meeting place and was graciously greeted by Daniela. I read this in the reviews and on LivItaly's website but really did not appreciate until we arrived at the entrance....SKIP THE LINES!!!!!! There were people all over standing in line and we moved straight through and onto our adventure with Daniela. She was so very knowledgeable in every aspect of the tour. You ask her an off the wall question....bam....she answered it. Really was not one single thing that she couldn't answer...AND my husband will ask some very obscure and random questions. The whole excursion was amazing with some fascinating and amazing facts, beauty and history. If your in Rome and wanting to see the Vatican, I would highly recommend this specific tour at the top of your list.

Asmile2day, thank you so much for your amazing review regarding LivItaly Tours and especially Daniela. It is always tremendously nice to hear such positive feedback, especially by someone so well traveled and experienced with tripadvisor as you are. To know that we are at the top of people's dreams and standards is what keeps us going with excitement and anticipation. Daniela is one of the best in the city and we are lucky to have her. Thanks, Sincerely, Angelo Carotenuto, LivItaly Tours LLC, Owner and Manager.
