I took two tours in Rome (Ancient Rome and Early Vatican) and enjoyed them both immensely. Parma was my tour guide for both and she was extremely knowledgable and friendly. She was able to paint a picture of what Ancient Rome - the Forum, Colosseum, etc used to look like. Otherwise, you're just looking at a bunch of ruins. Being able to go into the Vatican early and avoid the crowds was well worth the money! She took us to the Sistine Chapel right away and it was not crowded at all. I was also traveling alone and she was kind enough to take pictures of me, which I really appreciated! The company was also great with communication. They let me know ahead of time that it would not be possible to visit St. Peter's because it was going to be closed to the public that day. I highly recommend!

I booked three tours with LivItaly and they were absolutely awesome. I recently traveled around Italy with my wife and our two teenagers with stops in to see the Uffizi & La Academie in Florence, Ancient Rome, and the Vatican. I happened to find LivItaly online prior to our vacation and I had no knowledge or recommendation of this company prior to booking. I strongly encourage anyone including my own family and friends to book thru this company when traveling to Italy. They were efficient, friendly and completely professional. We had two guides assigned to us, one in Florence and one in Rome & the Vatican. Both were fantastic! They both spoke perfect English and perfect Italian which made navigating lines and ticket windows a non issue. You will see what this means when you visit these sites. Don't waste your time in gigantic lines. Our guides ushered us directly into the exhibit areas saving valuable time and energy. Both guides came from art history backgrounds so their knowledge and insight was amazing. Other groups were very large and required that the groups listen to their guides thru annoying earphones that dont work. I learned this the hard way when touring Venice with a different company. Our tours were private, conducted face to face and in perfect English. I was able to ask questions and the guides were able to tailor our livItaly tours to our needs and interest. This is the way to see these sites. Spend the little extra to get an unbelievable experience and to learn all you can on what is a trip of a lifetime. LivItaly is the best and my family now thinks I am a genius for finding them. Walt M. From Maryland, USA

Walt, thank you so much for your review. This is exactly what LivItaly is trying to go for. With our limited time offer of a 15% discount on more than one tour booked, we are trying to encourage travelers like you to trust us and utilize our services more than once, and even in more than once city. We are trying our best to offer the same service everywhere in Italy: one that is memorable, unique and certainly intimate as you describe. Thus allowing our clients to really feel that everything is made for them and not for a group of 25-50 people. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Sincerely, Angelo Carotenuto, LivItaly Tours LLC, Owner and Manager

We arranged a family (3 adults) for a tour of the Coliseum through our Travel Agent, Beth of Bella Terra Travel. The tour was arranged by LivItaly and and our guide was Rachel. Turns out we had Rachel for 2 tours this week and we cannot hope to express the genuine pleasure it was having us for the 8 - 10 days hours we spent together. The Coliseum can be an overwhelming visit without the right knowledge, passion and patience Rachel displayed throughout that very hot Roman day. She took the time to thoroughly immerse us in the history of the land, the people and stores of what it must have been like to live in that much simpler but ultimately violent time where life meant so little to so many. She helped us with shopping locations, took us to the best Gelato place in Rome and made our first visit so enjoyable, that we are already thinking about a return visit in a year...Look no further than Rachel and LivItaly if you want a truly individualized tour, no

Stewart, thank you so much for your kind words. Rachel is at the top of her game and we feel tremendously priviliged to have her on our team. She is always so caring and thoughtful about the people she has on her tours. And again, LivItaly allows only 6 people per group (guaranteed) and this not only gives the client an opportunity to fully enjoy the service, but also makes the job easier for our guide, thus allowing him or her to really deliver a personalized service like in your case. Thank you again, Sincerely, Angelo Carotenuto, LivItaly Tours LLC, Owner and Manager

I am not one to write many reviews of my travels, but I just had to spend a few minutes while still in the beautiful city of Rome. My family of 2 adults and our 15 yr old daughter made the summer of 2013 the year we would make it to italy and together with our new friends at BellaTerra Travel, who in turn introduced us to LivItaly Tours and their tour guide Luca. Being a first time visitor to such an visually overwhelming city can be daunting at best, but Luca guided us thru the history of the Vatican thru stories, some based on fact and some simple enjoyable anecdotes that made the almost 4 hours walking, chatting, seeing and laughing one of the high points of the many trips we have taken. He was constantly ensuring that our comfort was first and foremost in his mind and with the amount of walking we all did, comfort was real important to us. He educated us in so many areas of the history of Rome, far exceeding our wildest dreams and even kept our daughter interested to the end (and anyone who has teenagers knows how difficult that can be). If you are looking for a truly entertaining, professional and unique look at the life that is lived and where it truly comes from, I would strongly recommend Luca and the people at LivItaly. They helped make our first visit truly one to remember.

We booked two tours with LivItaly and both were fantastic. We did the Colosseum/Ancient Rome tour and our tour guide was John. He was excellent! We also did the early morning Vatican tour which was suggested by LivItaly and was absolutely the way to go to see the Sistine Chapel before the general public is admitted. LivItaly was a pleasure to deal with from their very descriptive website, ease of booking, transportation service to the tours and the actual tours themselves. I am not sure how you could have had a quality visit to these sights without the insight from the tour guides. Thanks so much for the experience!
