I must say this was the worst experience of "B&B"/motel/hostel we have ever had. Reasons: - there is no reception and the owners are not around (at least this is what the care taker who cannot make any decisions told us). - we double checked by email at least 8 times the arriving time to make sure someone was there to open the door (because of all the previous negative feedbacks and warnings) and still at our arrival no one was here to open the door for us. - there was a horrible smell of a dead animal or dirty public toilet in the room and despite our daily requests to do something about it they have taken no action and ignored our emails. - the room was extremely noisy we heard all neighboring rooms and every single person that walked in the corridor. - the care taker was never there when someone needed to check in so every single morning and late evening we woke up at the sound of people trying to get in ringing the door bell again and again and again. - the room and the bathroom were not clean. - the room and the bathroom had not been cleaned during the whole period of our stay (5 nights). The cleaning lady only would go in to fold the old towels and eventually do the bed whenever she felt like and basta. - when we requested new towels and toilet paper we were totally ignored. - the door of the shower did not close and the water was never hot only warm with very little pression. - the door of our own bathroom was so noisy that every time one of us needed to go to the toilet during the night the other one woke up. Anyway this is not a bed and breakfast but just an over priced and disgusting room rental.

Room Tip: Just don't go to this expensive and dirty place

Got to the hotel and had to wait for the owner to come out 10 minutes later and was told we had to walk 10 minutes to the owners secondary hotel as thier wasnt any room left on Cicerone 28 bed and breakfast! This was totally inconvient as i wanted to be on Via Cicerone street becuase of the location i needed! We arrived to the other hotel and discover that its the owners other hotel under a different name. And from what i remember we had breakfast included when i booked it on the website. The owner insisted that it wasnt included and we offered to pay for breakfast and he refused! To make matters worse along with having to walk 10 minutes away to another hotel, and not have breakfast, we were not allowed to flush toilet paper!! We had to throw the toilet paper in the bin becuase the toilet couldnt handle it. And the shower was just awful!! Besides all this they offered free wifi and thats it.

Will definetly not recomend this hotel!! Dodgy on all aspects!!

Went to Rome just a few days ago and stayed for 4 nights. Location was really good as it was near to the Vatican. Towards the right is the Vatican City, and the left all the other attractions along Via Del Corso (nearest being the Popolo, Spanish Steps etc). Didn't have to use the taxi, etc to go to places. Walking to them is just fine as they were not that far from our B&B.

Christian was very friendly and hospitable. The first night, he explained places to go, good eateries and gave us a map. The room we stayed in was very comfortable although there seems to be a perfume-ey smell that we don't like and can't get rid of.

My only problem is that they only have one adaptor when there's 4 of us. So we'd have to wake up in the night/mornings to take our turns to charge our phones and cameras (As difficult as it was for us to take turns, on our 3rd night, our adaptor was given to another tourist). There's no hairdryers or kettles to use. No breakfast whatsoever.

So, buy your own adaptor.

We stayed in this BB for 5 nights. The BB's location is perfect, as it is near all the sightseeing points in central Rome, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The room we stayed was rather large and clean, with en-suite bathroom. The breakfast, though not reach, but was enough (cappuccino was very delicious :), and was served into the room. Kitchen available for BB's guests is an advantage. I would definitely recommend this BB for those who look for good-quality accommodation for a reasonable price.

Cicerone B&B is rather inexpensive taken central location into consideration, but.....
.... stating that breakfast was included and then serving milk (=cappucino) and a dry piece of bread (and nothing more!) is a joke. Would have prefered nothing in stead.
Staff rather pleasant (when there) and rooms acceptable overall. Single beds a nightmare and mattress as hard as stone. Hardly any hot water in the shower.
Large rooms and high ceilings giving a feeling of space (we stayed in a quadraple room).
Finally, credit card machine out of order upon check-out so we had to get cash, which was a mess - I wonder if the credit card machine being inoperative is the case ALL the time - I think so...
I would rather pay more and have a more decent accommodation.

The cleanliness of the room and every other area in the B&B, the positive, welcoming and warm attitude of the staff and its excellent location, make this B&B an ideal and highly recommendable spot for travellers on a budget. The Vatican is about a 10 min. walk, and you can reach la Fontana di Trevi in about 20 minutes. Excellent!
