“Great place !”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

This B&B is a great place to stay when visiting Rome. A few blocks from the metro station, and about 5 minute walk from the Vatican museums entrance. The rooms are a good size with clean modern bathroom. The staff is very helpfull and they serve one of the best breakfast that we had in Italy, with your choice of English (cold cuts and bread) or Italian (sweet pastries), plus coffee (capuccino or regular), juice and yogurt. Breakfast is served in your room.
The room comes with a large safe and free wifi (good signal).
We definitely will come back to this B&B when in Rome !

We had rented two rooms for our 3 day stay in Rome and were very pleased with the facilities and the staff. As noted in previous reviews, it is located very close to the Vatican and just a short step away from the Cipro Metro station which was great for us. The rooms are adequate and very clean. The beds are ok, but Italy tends to be known for uncomfortable beds. The hotel is located in an apartment building which threw us off at first, but it is very quiet and helped us get great rest. Basil is friendly and accomodating and makes a great Italian breakfast. Beano was the savior of our trip. He works the afternoon/evenings at the Suites and helped us through a dreadful problem with our banking. He stayed extra late just to make sure we got our problem solved. Thank you again Beano. All in all, a nice place to stay for an affordable price.

We had a great stay at the Mocenigo Vatican Suites.
Modern luxurious facilities, very clean and tidy rooms, nice bathrooms, free Wifi.

The location is very easy to find, just do your research before hand to where it is. It’s easy to get to from the Cipro Metro station, about a 5 minute walk. I’d say location was very convenient with pharmacies, shops and restaurants near by.

When you first get there, you have to press the buzzer to be let in as its part of a large flat. Just look for “M. Vatican Suites” on the buzzer list. (I think it was No. 15). Google maps points you to the exact location (Street view the exact gate) so it shouldn’t be hard to find.
There is a small beige plaque on the wall outside that says Mocenigo Vatican Suites.

Breakfast will be brought to your room every morning, at a time you can decide. You have a pick between Italian (sweets) and Continental (cheese & hams) breakfasts, a choice of teas and coffees as well as juice.

The Vatican is a stone throws away. Though the location is not quite central, it wasn’t an issue for us because the metro was so close.

It’s a quiet neighbourhood, with double glazed windows, so outside noise was not an issue, although the walls are relatively thin on the inside.

We will definitely think about staying there again when we return to Rome (we both threw a coin into the Trevi Fountain) we had a fantastic stay, it was almost perfect.

Furst trip to rome and took the advice from previous reviews for this b&b saying it was a good place to stay. Small but adequate rooms everything you need including a fridge, excellent shower and very comfortable beds and very clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were polite and friendly breakfast served in your room at a time to suit you it was a nice breakfast but could do with some fruit and maybe a little variation as it did get a bit samey. But overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend it for a city break to rome.

Room Tip: not much of a view here as it is a very built up area and only 5 rooms to choose so no need to worry...

This has to be one of the best places I have stayed in Europe. It was clean, local to transportation, safe and in a well situated area of Rome. Stores are right there. Vatican is a short walk. Metro is very close. Food abounded. Breakfast was fantastic and the best thing of all was Basil at the front desk. He could not do enough for us! Everything we asked (late Check-in 1:00 am and late check out 3 pm) was no problem. He really was a kind person. I forget my adapter and he allowed me to use his. I lost my room key that was a High Tech gadget and he loaned me his own! I plan to return with my daughter next year. This trip I traveled with two other couples and they felt the same way I do. No wonder it is hard to book into this venue! Best!

we stayed in this hotel/B&B for 3 nights for a visit of Rome. Ideally located about 10 minutes from Vatican city, St Peter, Vatican museum, metro lines and stores.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
rooms are clean and well maintained.
choice of breakfast (sweet or savoury) served in the room until 10am.
Highly recommended, I willdefinitely check there first for my next trip to Rome.

Room Tip: hotel is very quiet. some rooms are over the street but not noisy at all anyway.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend in October and had a great time.

The suites are ideally placed for visiting the Vatican and a short walk away from a Metro bus and train stop. It's also a pleasant walk from the centre of Rome if you fancy a little exercise and want to see the sites.

We were very happy staying at the Mocenigo Vatican Suites and recommend it to anyone. Very reasonably priced, clean, good location, local shops and restaurants, breakfast delivered to your room, very friendly and helpful staff - it has everything you need. I honestly can't think of any downsides and would stay here again.

Book a room and enjoy your stay in a wonderful city.
