Right around the corner from our hotel was this recommended little restaurant. Savory pastas, perfectly-prepared salmon and spinach, and chilled limoncellos in frosted glasses. But the best part was the charming and engaging Dominic who made us feel like old friends and greeted us warmly upon our return.

We ate here on the recommendation of our hotel. It was very good and the service was also friendly and good. The pricing was also better than we had experienced in other places in Rome.
It is in a back street but well worth finding
The Limoncello was devine!

You would hardly stumble across this restaurant unless directed there, but it is worth a visit, tucked away down an anonymous side street. The seating is all downstairs and the decor includes photos of various Italians who have eaten there over the years. There is a wide range on offer in the menu, which has not dissimilar choices to other places we tried, but the prices are very good value, generally seeming to be about two euros less per course than the more typical tourist-focussed restaurants.

Service was very good with the waiters rushing about as the restaurant filled up, although English is not their strong point, but the menu is in four languages and we all coped. We ate there 3 times in a week and each time by about 8.30pm it seemed full, including a fair proportion of Italians

We had dinner here based on the suggestion of my wife's boss, who got here on a suggestion of a friend. As it turns out, "friend-of-a-friend" is the best way to get here, as it is situated in a rather off-track part of the city, and we would never even think of coming in had we not heard raving reviews before.

The place itself is relatively simplistic in its presentation and style. The walls are adorned by pictures dating back to the 1980s, with Italian celebrities posing for pictures with family members, wide grins and smiles - and for good reason. This place featured some of the best pasta we had in Rome, at a very reasonable price and portion size, too.

Highly recommended.
