“WORTH MISSING.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We arrived in Rome late and our chosen eatery was fully-booked so we walked in here by our hotel.. What a mistake. It looks good with outdoor seating but both the food and staff attitude were
below our expectations. Our waiter was more interested in chatting up a female diner than serving us.
When the food arrived it was warm and tasteless so a wasted evening.

“No pizazz”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

We ate outside. Bread, raw oysters, spaghetti with clams, chicken cutlet, salad, tiramisu, American coffee, bottled water. 62 euros. Very slow service and ALL of the food lacked character. There was nothing about our dining experience at Ciao Bello to catapult it from the quagmire of being average or below.

“Run!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

It's basically a fraud. Run for your life. They don't even dare to put their name at the front. They have "Carlo's" as their name on the door.

“Good service, ok food, but stay away!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

I would say service was good, food was ok, but like so many other reviews of this place, they will cheat you on the bill.

We had fish, which was prices at 7 Euro pr 100 grams. On the bill they charged for 500 g, and would guess the actual size was about half of that.

They added a 17 Euro "servicio" charge, and they worked hard to make us tip them more. This is certainly not normal in Italy. Stay away!

“Wonderful food, excellent service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

We stopped here for dinner today after being recommended by a wine shop just around the corner. What a delight! Service was excellent. The waiter was attentive to everything even so far as changing the wine we chose because it wasn't quite right and replacing with one that was.
The home made ravioli was just delightful. Lovely atmosphere!!
Hopefully will return before we leave Rome.
