“Short stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2012

The Hotel is closely located to Stazione Termini. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room (single room) was very small and faced the main road, so noisy. The breakfast had a good variety of food. I only stayed one but it was a good experience.

Room Tip: Single rooms are very small. Book a room away from the main road.

I booked a room here through lastminute back in feb. On arrival at the hotel I was told it was full and they shipped me off to an inferior hotel in Rome. This was the hotel invictus which was only 3 star and nowhere near as nice.
The staff at both hotels were very pleasant and apologetic but I get the impression they do this alot. I had confirmed my reservation the night before and no problems were mentioned then. I suspect they deliberately wait until you arrive as you have no choice but to accept then.
So be warned if you book this hotel there is no guarantee you will get this hotel.

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend, (3rd-6th Aug), at this hotel and we had such a wonderful stay!

The staff were all so friendly and polite, they couldn't do enough for you at the front desk and over breakfast, nothing was a bother. When we arrived the man who checked us in gave us a huge tear off map and circled all the places of interest on it. He wrote details of bus numbers, metro stations etc on it so we knew exactly where the hotel was in relation to everything else - this was so useful and we carried it with us everywhere.

The room, (no.105), was at the front of the hotel facing the road but you wouldn't know it, traffic noise was very minimal and there were shutters on the window to help with this. The room itself was fantastic, just the right size, (not too small as some reviewers say), very nicely decorated, the bathroom was just right with a lovely rain shower, hairdryer, (that was better than some bigger chain hotels), and everything was so CLEAN!!! A massive thing for us. There was a free safe to use which was plenty big enough to fit all our bits and pieces including a laptop/tablet if you had one. The air con in the room was a god send in August and worked a treat. The bed was very comfortable too, just what you need after a long day on your feet in the heat.

WiFi at 3 Euros for 24 hours we thought was also good value.

Breafast was always plentyful and very fresh.

We would very definitely stay at this hotel again, or one of it's 2 other sister hotels in Rome, and we would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

We booked a romantic anniversary break to the Hotel Best Roma and couldn't be happier :) The hotel was easy to get to from Rome's main Termini station and although we did walk, I would recommend taking either the metro/tram if you have luggage. Manzoni metro station is a straightforward 10 min walk down the road and the tram number 5 stop a short 5 min walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly and couldn't have been more helpful, they gave us a map and gave very comprehensive directions to get to all of Rome's major attractions and a few things off the beaten track. The hotel itself is quaint and provided a lovely continental breakfast with a wide range of food and drink, water and orange juice was also available 24 hours a day- great after a long day's walking if round Rome.
The room was clean and of a good size with a beautiful sunken bath , just perfect for what we wanted. This hotel isn't a Hilton or a Marriott and those looking for this should look to the bigger and more expensive accommodation options. I can't recommend this hotel enough, perfect for a short break.
There was only one con to counter all the pros though...The hotel recommended a restaurant around the corner, (di tempo Minerva) where the food was good and reasonably priced. However, we chose to eat there on our last evening and the restaurant staff bought us their 'special' starter and unfortunately the only special thing about it was the price at £35!!! The hotel staff were suitably appalled when we told them this after the meal and couldn't apologise enough. Just a word of caution, ask the price before you order anything classed as 'special'.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Rome. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good breakfast.
Room was perfect and very comfortable. Hotel was just a 10min walk from the metro to all the attractions.

The room was a little small, but clean. The bathroom was also small. There was not a lot of room to move around. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

Their directions are a little odd though. There is a bus that stops right across the street from the hotel that you can catch at the Roma Centrale. It was either bus 150 or 157, I cannot remember. Much easier than the directions on their website and much closer.
