What a lucky woman I was to be able to find and stay at Suites Trastevere! Marco is all and more that the other positive review write about. I had book 7 nights to enjoy all that Rome offered and this neighborhood gem kept me safe, secure and happy my entire week. Marco would review my daily agenda and make wonderful 'local Roma' suggestions to give me a true sense of being part of the city.

Also, the communal breakfast table allowed me to meet many new friends from around the world and share stories of our daily adventures.

I would also recommend using his car service - there is nothing better than after a long flight being met by his driver with a very nice car and being delivered right to the door!

I would definitely stay with Marco again!

This is a great B&B just outside of downtown Rome (a couple stops on the tram, it was nice to be in a quieter neighborhood). The guy that runs it, Marco, is friendly and super helpful, he had lots of great recommendations for restaurants and how to get around the city to see all the sights, wrote down all the info for bus and trains to get us back and forth, and even gave us his number to call if we had any questions while we were out (plus booked a car to take us to the airport on our last day).

Thanks to his advice we ate at a great little pizzeria, found some excellent gelato at a little out of the way place and were able to get back and forth across Rome like a couple of experts!

We had a wonderful experience at Suites Trastevere. We spent the last 4 days of our vacation here and Marco was by far the most incredible, accomodating host of entire trip. He went out of his way to make sure we knew the best way to get around the city and recommended several excellent restaurants and places of interest. The breakfast and capuccino every morning were great and the snacks available in the kitchen 24 hours a day were a huge plus. There was complimentary internet as well as a computer to log onto any time of day- this was the only time we experienced this on our whole trip and it was such a nice addition. The room we stayed in (Fontana di Trevi Suite) was modern, clean and beautiful with a gorgeous hand painted mural on the main wall. We were surprised by how quiet it was! The walls are soundproof so you do not hear neighbors at all. (a rarity with B&Bs) The location was ideal- close to everything. We opted to walk most of the time but there is a bus located right by the hotel that is quick and convenient. The best part of our stay was Marco himself. He has the warmest, most friendly personality and he really made us feel at home. He has really taken the time to think of everything to make your stay as comfortable and seamless as possible- it really made our trip. Thank you for everything Marco! We can't wait to go back.

My friend and I stayed here last week on our whirlwind trip through Italy. After much deliberation I selected this B&B for our visit to Rome. I was not disappointed. There is a local subway train that stops one block from the hotel. You can take it over the river and walk to everywhere you need to go. There is also a train station a few blocks away. So if you are coming from the airport you can go there directly and skip Tremini ( a huge confusing train station). The best part of this place was of course Marco! He was always there to help and give advice on what to do and where to go. If you don't have your whole trip planned before you get to Italy Marco can help you with that as well. I would definitely stay here again..only wish I could have stayed longer.

Words cannot describe the fabulous hospitality provided by Marco, the welcoming lovely and peaceful rooms. Arriving in the heat of Rome after a long train ride, we stumbled into Suites Trastevere. We felt like we entered an oasis of peace and tranquility. Our teenage kids were delighted with their room (the Villa Borghese) -- the free wireless internet, the comfortable latex mattresses, the air conditioning which each room can control as they see fit, the endless supply of cappuccinos...The grownups stayed in the Giancolo room, which has a comfortable elegance. All the fixtures in the rooms are new and artfully done. The kids thought Suites Trastevere was the best place we stayed in Italy (better than the 5 star hotels). We all slept really really well on the comfortable beds -- housekeeping was great, and the rooms and common areas are kept spotless. Marco is the best -- he answered his mobile phone on the first ring every time, and was there in a flash when we locked ourselves out. His grandmother baked us a fabulous cake for our breakfast. I would not hesitate to recommend Suites Trastevere to family and friends. The Trastevere neighborhood is "authentic Rome", for those who want to be off the beaten tourist track. Enjoy!

Suites Trastevere was one of the highlights of our Italy trip! We arrived after a car trip from France without telling Marco specifically when we would be there, so contacted him then and waited a few minutes for him to return to the Suites location. Not a problem in the scheme of things, though.

Marco spent a good amount of time orienting us to the city, telling us how to use the various transit options (bus, tram, train), and the restaurant recommendations he supplied were great.

Breakfast included cafe latte, juice and a selection of rolls, breads and cereals, as well as helpful tips from Marco to help us fine-tune our plans for the day.

We enjoyed the Trevi Fountain room very much. It was spacious and cool; loved the mural!

Rome tourists - beware of pickpockets! Don't carry 'everything' with you if you don't need it. We were amazed at the skill of Rome pickpockets. How they got the wallet, we'll never know . . . and they hit the bank card and credit card fast and hard. Thankfully, our bank responded quickly and we had alternate cards in the room.

We were supposed to be staying with Marco in the Suites Trastevere in mid April for four nights, as you may remember this was around the time of the volcanic ash cloud, which meant that our flights were cancelled the night before we were due to fly to Rome. During the situation i was keeping Marco up to date with emails, as the air lines were only working in a couple of hours at a time! When we heard that our flight was cancelled i immediately contacted Marco as it was so short notice (not even 24hours before) was worried about having to pay the cancellation fee, although as we still wanted to go to Rome we got out flights changed to August and arranged with Marco to change our stay to August, under the circumstances he was very very good and allowed us to do so. This was great, and we really appreciated it!!

He also arranged a transfer from and again to the airport.

We arrived at the B + B and were met by Marco, As it was our first time in Rome, he sat us down with a map, and showed us where we were in comparision to everything else in Rome, he advised us on transport to get around Rome and also suggested various different places to eat etc in Rome and showed us them all on the map.

We stayed in the pantheon room, the pictures on his website are very accurate and up to date, the room is very spacious, very clean and tidy everything you want after touring around the city all day. The room also had air conditioning which was really needed as it was pushing 37 degrees when we were there! The room was cleaned every day and towels changed when you needed them done so.

Marco provided fresh crossiants and pastries every morning along with toast, cakes, coffee, fruit juices, water etc. He was very helpful and each morning was interested in where or what we had planned, he answered all our questions he also gives you his own personal mobile number that you can call him at any time if you need to.

On the way home as our flight was not until late evening, Marco allowed us to hold onto the keys, and leave our suitcases in the b+b until we were ready to get picked up to go to the airport.

We had no bother at all throughtout our stay in both Rome and the Suites Trastevere and thoroughlly enjoyed it and we would and probably will definately return in the future. I would strongly reccommend this b + b to anybody wanting a very pleasant stay in rome.

Thank you Marco for a great trip to Rome!!
