Marco and Helena are great hosts. Helpful, funny, kind and the breakfast (Italian style) is better than most. The rooms are gorgeous - painted with the sites of Rome on the walls by someone who is clearly a true artist (we later learned that the artist was the wife of one of the owners who also does restoration work for The Vatican).
The location is ideal. Easy cheap train to and from the airport. Great for pre and post cruise, as you can take a cheap and easy train ride to the port terminal (followed by a level 2 block walk). Outside the door of the B&B is the Tram, which can get you virtually anywhere in Rome, with an occasional need to switch to the subway or a bus. Just the perfect location for those (like us) who prefer to be in a neighborhood rather than a tourist district.
Restaurants nearby are great (especially the New Station directly next door).
This place is bargain by comparison to others, and a real treat. Don't miss it!
