“Great find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

Discovered this gem while walking around the Piazza del Popolo last week. Bedsides having an extensive wine selection, they also sell distilled alcohol at reasonable prices which sure beats the 10+ Euros per shot you pay at the hotel mini-bar. Along with some wonderful local wine we tried their Tuscan meat and cheese sampler. It was only 10 or 12 Euros and was absolutely fantastic! There were 3 or 4 types of meats and as many cheeses. Not only was everything out-of -his-world delicious, but they gave us so much that my wife and I couldn't even finish it. We would strongly recommend coming here whenever you need a break from the walking, the crowds, or the rose/umbrella sellers.

“Excellent lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

Mainly a wine shop but they add a few tables for lunch. Not an extensive menu but very Italian and high quality. Great atmosphere surrounded by shelves and shelves of wine at reasonable prices. Staff willing to help you make your wine choices. Excellent.

“Attractive venue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

This enoteca is a great place to buy wine. I also recommend it for lunch, but not so much for dinner. A great variety of salads and cold meats to accompany your choice of wine. It gets crowded at the few tables at the back, but they will take reservations. For a small mark up, they will serve a bottle of anything they have in stock and they stock a great variety.

“Excellent food for lunch”

Inspirering to visit a small and very historic place - not touristic at all - excellent food and wine at reasonable price.

“Friendly staff/Extensive Wine Collection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

During my recent two week trip to Rome I searched out many an enoteca looking for great wine. Enoteca Buccone was one of my favorite. It definitely had the largest collection of wines ---and all fairly priced. The staff were extremely helpful. They took the time to discuss what I liked in my wines and then made excellent recommendations (in all price ranges). I came back here several times and bought more wine than I probably should have. The aperitivi were also excellent. If you are in the Piazza del Popolo/Spanish Steps area this is the one enoteca to visit.
