“Simple Italian food with great local ambiance”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

We went here on a short stay in Rome at the recommendation of Rick Steve's guidebook. We were not disappointed at the great unpretentious local feel of the restaurant. Although we were the only tourists in the place, we felt very welcomed. The food itself is fairly simple fare, but done in a very homestyle cooking way. The pasta was like what you would expect when eating with friends and family. The pork chop and sides were also simple and well seasoned. This is definitely not the place for fancy fusion exotic taste combinations like you see on the Food Network, but just what I imagined as classic Italian fare. What really set this place apart from our other dining experiences was the service and ambiance. The prices are very affordable with pasta dishes under €8 and meat dishes under €12.

“You can do so much better than this nearby”

Not overpriced, not good, not shocking. This place is treading water. A very unmemorable experience, which is why this review is short.

“12 years eating well”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

First stumbled on this restaurant on a cold wet evening in November 1981 and found it to be warm, friendly and serving lovely italian food at very reasonable prices. Have gone back every year since and will continue to eat here whenever I visit Rome.

“Overrated & Poor Quality”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Rick Steve's marvelous 2013 guidebook to Rome recommended this restaurant for the Termini area in Rome. Unfortunately, the meal we had was poor --my pasta with pecorino was virtually pecorino-free and the ravioli in meat sauce my wife ordered had a watery tomato sauce, was almost meatless and no better than what we could get in the canned food section from any supermarket. By far the most disappointing restaurant we ate at in our five days in Italy.
