“convenient and pretty”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

We stayed at the vivaldi luxury rooms for 4 nights and we were a party of 6. After coming off from an 11 day cruise, we had a lot of luggages!!! Fortunately we had a very helpful Filippino porter who helped us out even though we couldn't check into our rooms yet. Bless his dear heart :)
The hotel was really very very convenient with shops, sights and restaurants within a hop, skip and jump. I must commend the hotel manager though for being flexible and attentive to our requests. My two sisters in law had the smallest room and their room costs more because of a later booking. However upon check out, we asked the manager to try his best to bring the cost down to what we originally paid and this he did and more. (I apologise for not remembering your name :()) Thank you so much for being accomodating and for this, you have left a deep impression on us and you can be sure, we will be back to stay the next time we are in Rome again.

Fantastic location to everything. Room we had was on 2nd. floor - up 48 stairs. Very safe and
secure. Room was well furnished with comfortable furniture. Coffee making facilities. Had BBC
English news and an occasional english movie on TV. A small and dangerous bathroom. A Spa
bath with shower in it and a 12" space between the bidet and the bath for you to step out onto.
Pleasant breakfast room with a good European breakfast and very obliging staff. We arrived
into Rome with luggage and transferred by the train and the metro to Spagna station and then walked. Would not recommend. We returned to airport by hotel limo for a difference of Eu 18.

Stayed there over our summer holiday in Rome. The location of the hotel is excellent and near perfect for tourists. The Spagna metro station is nearby (approximately 5-10 minute walk from the hotel). One can take this metro line direct to the central station where train and bus connections to the airport are abundant. *note: area around central station can be a bit iffy in terms of safety. There are plenty of shops and restaurants around the area. Not to mention some gorgeous basilicas and the likes.

Our double-room was fairly compact but fairly comfortable in terms of bedding. There was an air-conditioner inside the room to help us survive the summer heat. Other bonuses include breakfast which comprised of a very nice spread of continental and local delights. The staff at the breakfast room were polite and attentive. Other commendations will go to the personable lady who runs the rooftop bar which is a hidden gem.

Our gripe was two-fold. One - the bath/ shower was leaking in our room. It wasn't the easiest nor most straightforward for us to change our room despite 3 requests! The wet floor wasn't very pleasant as it brought out some dirt from who knows where!! We called reception and asked for someone to dry it and no one turned up. We asked for extra towels for us to dry it ourselves and no one turned up. Our other gripe was a rather rude receptionist who was trying hard to sell us the hotel's taxi service to the airport when we asked for some info re public transport to the airport. We were not impressed by his behaviour.

Will we stay there again? Possibly as a result of the excellent location but I may also browse around for other hotels!

Beautiful hotel located in central Rome. Walking distance to most of the attractions. The hotel maintains a high standard in both service and facilities. Delicious breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

It was our first time visiting Rome and coming from Canada we wanted something modern with walking distance to everything (shopping, restaurants and sightseeing). We took subway from the Train station to the hotel. The roads are not meant for the luggage and it was a little bit difficult to walk. Escalators did not work and we had to carry our luggage through all the steps. As we exit the subway, the first thing we saw was the Spanish steps after 7 minutes of walking we were at the Mozart hotel. After quick check in we walked to the Vivaldi. The first room they showed us had smell of cigarets, as we complained to the front desk, they changed our room right away. We were very happy with that. The hotel building is very old with the funny elevator, but it is just outside of the building. Our room was new, recently renovated with air conditioner. Breakfast was excellent with variety of choice (fruits, yogurts, pastry)and excellent Italian coffee. Staff is very kind and willing to help. We really enjoyed our stay and thought that it was an excellent choice. From our hotel we were able to walk everywhere ( Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, Vatican, Coliseum....) shopping and restaurants right outside from the hotel. We enjoyed it all!!!

Room Tip: Rooms on a higher floor have less noise from the street and a better view.

I traveled to Rome with my family. We were a party of 8. We arrived early morning and couldn't check in until 2:00, but as promised our luggage was waiting for us in our rooms once we were able to check in. We checked in at the Mozart, the main hotel, which is on Via dei Greco, but our rooms were actually at Vivaldi which was literally just around the corner on Via del Corso. The building was very secure. There was no signage indicating it was the Vivaldi. Instead it looked like the entrance to someone's home or apartment. We had to get through the main door and the door to our floor, both with codes, and then into our rooms with a key card. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms were decently sized and comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms were up to date and very clean. Housekeeping was awesome and not only did our rooms always smell great, but the entire floor smelled great! Breakfast was included daily during our stay and included home baked sweets, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, quiche, hard boiled eggs, slices of ham and cheese, cheese spreads, croissants/bread, juices, milk and coffee. I liked that it wasn't a big heavy breakfast. It was just enough to fuel us for our heavy walking to see the sights without weighing us down. Although it was a small self-serve buffet, the wait staff was still very attentive and made sure the buffet area was stocked and brought us our specialty coffee promptly.

The Mozart has a nice rooftop terrace with a beautiful view. We spent evenings there sipping wine and snacking on cheese/salami plates.

The location was perfect. Lots of shopping right outside the door. There is a grocery store around the corner. There are lots of eateries nearby and a bakery and gelateria two doors down! We were closest to the Spanish steps and also to Piazza de Poppolo, but we were able to find our way easily to all the other sights. We walked everywhere! It took 20 minutes to get to Vatican City, but we were able to window shop along the way.

I would definitely recommend the Vivaldi and would stay there again. Kudos to the housekeeping and wait staff! The only negative experience we had was during our check-out when the desk attendant made some negative remarks after becoming frustrated when we asked the bill be split between our three parties, and then each party paid partially with their left over Euros and then a credit card. Bless him, he was frustrated and confused but figured it all out.

We stayed for three nights in March at the Vivaldi Rooms and we were not disappointed. Although I was not impressed with Rome itself, the Vivaldi Rooms made up for it. We were given a room with a large, very comfy, king sized bed. We had a HUGE outdoor patio off the room with sun loungers and table and chairs. It was very private and beautiful. The room was spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. The breakfast was fantastic lots to chose from and delicious. If I liked Rome I would definitely stay here again.
