“Outstanding value for the price”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

We showed up on Saturday morning without a hotel and asked for a room for the next five days. The front desk receptionist was so helpful and gave us a great rate in one of their last handicapped accessible rooms, which was fine with us. The room was so quiet, it was immaculate, and the beds and pillows were so perfect. Not too soft and not too hard. The room had a very large bathroom. The breakfasts were outstanding with both hot and cold food and every beverage one could desire. The breakfast staff were the most polite I have found in Europe. The lobby was exquisite with couches and chairs to sit for reading, during the one day it rained. The rooftop lounge was fantastic. Every staff member we encountered were so polite and helpful. They helped us with taxis, directions and our return trip to the airport. It was absolutely the best hotel we have stayed in during the past five years of travel in Spain, France. Great Britain, Israel or Italy. I could not recommend it more highly. I would never stay any other place while in Rome again. It was like a 5 star hotel for 3 star prices, in such a big city with generally high rates. It was near great restaurants, and easy walking distance to two subway stops and the main Termini train station. While it was some distance from the major attractions, they could be reached via subway very easily. The best gelato in Rome can be found across the street and a short half block down the street.

We stayed at Leon´s place hotel from 22-08-2013 to 25-08-2013, I found the best price on official hotel website (leonsplacehotel.it) and we found a promotional offer so we paid for 2 nights and we stayed 3 nights, this rate included: vat, service and breakfast but we had to pay in avance and the offer was not refundable, however we had to pay city tax, 3 euros/person and day, so we paid for every night 114 euros (57 euros each person), and in my opinion I think this hotel has a great value and great service.

The hotel is next to Termini station, roughly 10 minutes on foot, and it has a beutiful facade of stone and the entrance is elegance and nice but obviously the best things in this hotel you can find out inside.

The front desk and the lobby are gorgeous and amazing (please see photos), the recepcionist gave us our room and he gave us a lot of informations about Rome and some maps. Every worker in this hotel were friendly and helpful, recepcionists, breakfast waiters, bellboy…

The lobby is gorgeous and amazing, you have some lavish sofás, lamps with very beutiful colors so you felt very confortable.

Our room was 505, on fifth floor, away from the elevator and non smoking room. When we arrived at our floor, the corridor had a very confortable color with carpet on the floor and some lovely Little tables and some mirror.

Our room was whiter tan White, perfect, This room had everything that you can need, we had a confortable King bed, two big mirrors, one huge televisión, one sofá, the air con worked properly, one big closet with slippers, more blankets and pillows and at the bottom a fridge with a lot of kind of products and on the roof of the room you can see nice details as plastering, however the sights of this room wasn´t good because we only could see another building.

The bathroom of this room was awesome as well, obviously we have everything that we need with a lot of toiletries, fresh towels every day but the best thing was the body loction and gel because this body loction smelt very very well, the bathroom was big and confortable too.

The breakfast was on -1 floor and the breakfast room looked like a basement and it was very pretty, and it was very clean and we had all that you can need, like cereals, different kind of coffee, cheeses, jams, turkey, bread, different kind of juice, mineral wáter, sparkling wáter… and much more.

Finally, when we left our room, we didn´t have any problems with our luggage because we left our luggage in the luggage room until 4 o´clock.

I recomend this hotel because in my opinión everything in this hotel is perfect and my mark about this hotel is 5 out of 5.

This is a great place to stay in Rome, and the rooms are a reasonable price, though they are very small. Not a big problem for me, but might be for someone with more luggage.

The bar is nice, though very expensive. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel and staff especially Alessandro on reception. Staff couldn't do more for us. Hotel was modern and clean, room was a little on the small side, but I have heard this is common in Rome. A great variety of foods for breakfast, and they gave us a packed breakfast - when we had an early morning leave, good wifi reception and cool bar. Also a great authentic restaurant called Ristorante Pizzeria Andrea is round the corner, full of friendly locals, and amazing food.

The hotel is close to Termini the main train station (5minutes walk) and very easy to get buses, trains, metros to visit Roma.
The hotel is very nice, people friendly and rooms are nice, clean, design. Breakfast is very good with a manager very friendly too.
Around the hotel, going closer to Termini, there is some typical Italien restaurants very tasty. There is a MUST in front of this hotel, there is a gelateria (Italian ice creams) you can't miss it, trust me you will never forget if you try a gelato there!
Enjoy Roma!

Stayed for two nights on business. Room was perfectly comfortable if a bit on the small side. The technology was a bit too clever for me - the magnetic fob you had to wave at the reader near the door only gave you about a second to then push the door open before locking again, and the TV had a mind of its own, came on in the middle of the night whilst I was sleeping, but there you go! Breakfast was a very nice selection, fresh and varied. Espresso was simply perfect to wake up to, and the restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Only nuisance was the lack of an iron and board in the rooms. If you want business travellers you simply cannot offer a room without this facility. Nevertheless, found a very nice dry cleaner two minutes walk away (left out of hotel, first road left and it's on the right hand side) who ironed my shirts in 20 mins, better than I ever could, for 3 euros!

In summary a good hotel in a great location with engaging staff.

Stayed for 3 nights on our first ever trip to Rome. Had done a lot of research and eventually settled on here.

Found it easily, just 10 mins from Termini at a leisurely walk with a roller bag. Hotel is on several bus routes and about 10 mins walk to Metro. Probably a 20 min walk to the Trevi fountain.

Check in was efficient and offered details on buses, map and sightseeing if we needed it. Lobby is very stysh with bar at the back. We didn't try the bar. Our room (404) was quite small with limited storage. That said the room was comfy, at the back so we had no noise and a decent bathroom. The air conditioning was efficient and very welcome in the 30c heat. We also could walk out onto a little terrace but no seats

Breakfast is taken in the vaulted basement with a good selection of hot and continental items. The breakfast manager is superb with his friendliness and ability to speak in many languages.

In summary good staff, small boutique hotel for couples ideal for a weekend away. Would definitely recommend
