Perfect little B&B/upmarket hostel. I went with 2 friends and shared a triple room which cost €27 each per night. A real bargain given how expensive everywhere else was in Rome!! I was surprised at how nice the place was considering the price.
We shared a bathroom with other guests but hardly noticed they were even there. The room was basic but clean (as was the bathroom) and ours even had a balcony. The guy who runs the B&B is really nice and chatty but only speaks Italian, so unless you speak Italian you'll be in for some interesting animated conversation!
The breakfast was surprisingly nice! Only a croissant and cafe latte but very good ones!
Great location - only a stones throw away from St Peter's Basilica and one of the metro stops (Ottavianno) so its easy to get to most of the other famous sights.
Perfect place for those on a budget visiting Rome.
When we first arrived we had a panic that the place didn't actually exist as it doesn't say Salvador B&B on the front door (only Salvador) and when we rang the bell no one answered! 5 minutes later the owner arrived and let us in - phew! There is no reception or anything so when booking, you must state the time that you are going to arrive so that the owner is there to let you in. Fortunately we arrived the time we said we would on the email. Had we not have done and the owner wasn't there we would have assumed it was an elaborate con.
