H10 Roma Citta is a gem: near perfect, with only location as a possible downside .

So what's the location: it's Marconi, an unfashionable humdrum innner city neighbourhood. So you can't walk out the door and head into fasionable Rome: that's 10 mins in a cab away, or 20 mins by bus, or by the hotel's own shuttle.
But the location has a plus: the hotel's on the back streets, in the middle of housing: there are no main roads close, so it's quiet. That's amazing for Rome where most hotels are noisy. This isn't. And there's another hidden plus: the hotel is 200m from the bike path by the side of the Tevere, so it's perfect for anyone with a bike.

Location aside, what's on offer: a stunningly modern hotel. My room was close to perfect: immaculate decor, everything functional, with a desk you can work at. Terrific. Real style on show: Catala, of course. Staff pretty good. Facilities above average: great gym, pool, nice public spaces.

Wish all hotels were this good. I shall return!

Arrived here on a Friday night. Quick check-in, polite staff. Lobby very modern looking and clean. For my surprise there are free transfers from the hotel to the downtown, so you dont need to pay for a taxi. Thumbs up and already a nice surprise upon arrival. When up to the rooms another nice surprise, super new rooms, Nice decoration, extremely clean and confortable. Bathroom also extremely clean and
Modern. Overall if you're looking for a new, nice, modern and confortable hotel in Rome, go for it.

I stayed here last month with a friend. We took a shuttle from the airport that dropped you off at your hotel. For two people and two suitcases it was €35. It was well worth it to not have to use public transport to get here. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful with everything we needed. They gave directions when we needed which was great! We needed a new memory card for one of our cameras and they advised us on where to get one for a good price.
We walked to the train station the first morning which was kind of far and switched to the bus the next day. We used the 2nd shuttle into town one morning it was full, but everyone got on. We took a bus home every night for just €1.
The room wasn't huge, but good sized for a European hotel. The rooms were very up to date and comfortable. We were in hotels for two weeks and I slept the best here! There was an AC adaptor in the room. Like someone else said the rooms aren't sound proof. The only trouble we had was in the morning it was very loud when people were leaving their rooms. The doors slam when you shut them and you can here them all the way down the hall. The pool was closed but looked very nice!
There were computers downstairs to use, and free wifi throughout the hotel. We had a very nice stay and I would come again!

I stayed with my wife in our europe trip. this was the worst 4 star hotel during our vacations. A nightmare trying to get to the hotel using public transportation. the brakfast was ok and the hotel is less than 2 years old. When we arrived, found a bug smashed in the wall next to the TV and hair in the bathtub.

Though it was a little away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it was rewarding to have a calmer surrounding after a long chaotic day. Very helpful staff, clean and inviting decor and free shuttle to city was a plus. Easy to get back to via bus, train or taxi. Will stay there again.

Me and my husband decided to stay at the h10 roma citta for our first visit to Rome which was our last stop after travelling Europe for 2 months. The hotel itself is a standard modern buisness-like hotel. The room was very small but comfortable and clean. We did have trouble sleeping as the rooms are not sound-proofed very well, as we could hear the couple in the room next to us being''intamate''.They have a rooftop pool and gym which was quite good and a good selection of food for breakfast. This would have been a good stay, if it wasn't for the extremely rude staff. We are a young Australian couple and we are very polite to people and always say thankyou and please with a smile on our face. But every time we asked a question, directions, bus times, ect. We were given a short answer followed by a up and down stare. Even when we would come home from dinner and would walk in to the lobby we were greeted with not a friendly hello or even chow but a rude stare and it was mainly female staff. This is such a horrible way to act towards guests and made me feel uncomfortable. I also found that my italian is not the best and being a hotel speaking english would be ok, there was lots of Aussies,Americans and british guests there too. But i always got a confused look when i started to speak....i really don't know where this attitude comes from. This is a real shame...and by the looks of some other reviews they are stating the same thing. So maybe it's time to be friendly when working in the hospitality industry....it's your job!!!!!!!And one last thing the location is not convienient at all...way too far and the hotel bus stops at 5pm, so don't think about catching it for dinner. I would not come back again.

Dear guest,

First and foremost we are sorry that you experienced an unpleasant behavior from our staff during your stay with us. Honestly we are also a bit surprised because since we opened the hotel our service attitude has always been seen extremely positively by our guests. Very positive comments can been spotted very easily in many Tripadvisor reviews.

Furthermore, our usual procedure at the check in is to inform all the guests, about the public transportation possibilities close to the hotel, giving at the moment of check in a city map, with all the details. Our shuttle is mainly a service offered to be added to the public transportation options that leads the guests easily to the main city centre.

We are taking your comments very seriously and of course we will carry out a proper investigation to make sure that our service will be kept up to our standards hoping to welcome you and enjoy h10 hotels in the next future.

The hotel management.

The hotel is quite new and has a very modern feel, not to mention immaculately clean. Its south of Rome, just a little way down from Trastevere but easy enough to get into the centre of town. They have free shuttle that runs a few times a day but there are also local buses (number 170) and 2 train stations that are about a 5-10 minute walk away that connect to the major lines. We ate breakfast here twice and whilst it was a little pricey (17euro p/p) the selection was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and professional and spoke fluent english. There was a pool, spa and gym facilities all available on the roof of the hotel all in excellent condition given they are so new. All in all it was a fantastic experience if you're looking for a modern, well priced Rome hotel. We'd definately return.
