Prime location with all major attractions within walking distance. Spacious accommodations at a great rate.

Staff super friendly, especially the gentleman in charge of the charming restaurant. Enjoyed breakfast there a few times and dinner once. Fantastic service and great food for dinner.

Would definitely return when in Rome next time!

We stayed at Palazzo Olivia while ago and we loved all about it. We rented 2 room apartment and it was all about perfection. Very clean and spacious. Location was its main asset as it is located in the center of Rome. Big stand out and we would love to come back there.

We stayed at the Palazzo Olivia for six nights over the Christmas holiday. We are a family of six and since we were spending Christmas week in Rome, we wanted a more home-like place than just a generic hotel or basic apartment. From my first interaction through email with Jenifer in the office to our checkout experience, the Palazzo Olivia came through on all accounts. We had both apartments on the third floor that faced out onto the Via dei Leutari - even with the windows open, the traffic noise from the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II was minimal. Hint: Have Jenifer book a car for direct service from Fiumicino - Leonardo da Vinci airport to the palazzo.

The location of the Palazzo Olivia is what intrigued me about it online and it really is the best. It is just a block away from the Piazza Navona (which in our case had the Christmas market and our kids wanted to go there every evening). It's a quick walk to the Vatican, the Pantheon, and even to the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps. There are plenty of fine, non-tourist restaurants to the east, north, and west of the apartment. The bus stop on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is basically right outside the door to the Palazzo. We took the bus over to the Colosseum and Roma Termini. There's even a small grocery store a few blocks west on Via del Governor Vecchio.

We opted not to have the maid service but Daniela (the nicest maid ever) still brought us clean towels halfway through our stay.

The two things that could have been better was that the wireless internet connection could have been stronger since it kept dropping even in the living room and that there was no clothes dryer. Having a washer was great since we have four kids, but there really was not a place to dry anything quickly.

We spent 6 nights here over the New Year holidays. The apartment is centrally located. We were able to walk to all tourist locations. It's very clean and well-equipped. Jenifer was very warm and helpful. The only thing I wish could be better was the spotty Internet connection.

Room Tip: Pick the top floors! You get more sun!

We stayed at the Palazzo Olivia for the first time in September of 2012. We were 4, so we rented a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment. The apartment was large, recently renovated, but still rustically charming. The kitchen and living room were medium sized, but perfectly stocked and functional. There was maid service every other day (which you don't normally see in apartments) so the place was always clean and with fresh linens.

We enjoyed the place so much, my partner and I decided to stay there again for a week during New Year's 2012-2013. The location is so fantastic, you can walk ANYWHERE in Rome easily. Piazza Navona is literally around the corner (the Campo di Fiori is also just across the street), and the narrow side streets are filled with cute shops and restaurants. This time we were only 2, so we chose a bedroom rather than an apartment. The room was large, had a fridge/tea kettle, and a very nice bathroom. There were only 3 bedrooms in this part of the palazzo, and 1 nicely stocked kitchenette. After coming home from a long day of sightseeing and dinner, it was great to be able to relax with some coffee and snacks!

Of course we have to mention (do-it-all) Jenifer! She runs the place, and is more than willing to help out with any requests or questions. We'll always return to Palazzo Olivia whenever we're in Rome!

Room Tip: The rooms facing the main door of the building can be loud, as they're near Corso Vittorio Emanu...

It was great being in Palazzo Oliva. The service from Jenifer was phenomenal. Rarely experienced such an engagement and service orientation. Moreover, also the maid is a treasure. The location is fantastic. My apartment was very clean and functional. The high ceiling of the bedroom creates character. The decor is what corny, hence not 5 stars. But again, location and especially the service is 5 stars. Until June!

Our stays at Palazzo Olivia bookended a recent trip to Rome and Sicily. The good news: It is hard to imagine a better location -- three minutes walk from the Piazza Navona and Campo Di Fiori, and an easy walk to Vatican City, Vittorio Emanuele, and the Trastevere -- yet located on a tiny side street tucked away from Roman bustle. Turn right out the door onto Via dei Leutari (literally the lute-makers street), and you're on the major bus route between Termini Station and St. Peter's; turn left, and you're on a cobbled walk to excellent bistros and upscale shops. More good news: The rooms are relatively spacious, well appointed, and an absolute bargain! The bad news isn't really bad as long as you know this is an apartment building, not a hotel. The office is only staffed during certain hours, so arrivals and departures at other times need to be arranged in advance. There isn't daily maid service, but there are plans to connect with an adjacent restaurant for breakfast (although why not just walk around the corner to the nearby bakery and enjoy cafe americano and fresh croissants with the locals). Jennifer at the desk is an absolute peach, fluently American, and a wealth of good information about nearby restaurants, shopping, getting around Rome in general. For travelers who don't need (or want to pay for) the extras of a hotel stay, Palazzo Olivia is a perfect choice!

Room Tip: There is an old and new section. We stayed in both. Ask for one of the rooms in the old section wi...
