“Excellent gelato! ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012 via mobile

My friends and I visited this place in our search for the best gelato in Rome. Lots of unusual flavours, such as lemon and basil, fennel and lavender, ricotta almonds and fig. These were all really good! It was a long walk from our hotel, but well worth the effort. Other good flavours include almond, hazelnut and chocolate and orange. Will definitely go back there the next time I'm in Rome.

Thank Dianne G

“You Really Must Visit This Gelateria”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Tucked at the top of a tiny "alleyway" off the Via dei Coronari, across from the Restaurant Sangallo. If it's rainy or cold there's a couple chairs inside otherwise relax at one of the tables & chairs in the "alley." (You're sure to be the secondary subject of passing photographers.) Amazing selection of in-season ingredients & herbs.. In November we had pumpkin/amaretti/chocoate, cherry/cheese, Sicilian almond, and Tartufo. All were about the best we've had in Italy -- seems strange to write, but it's true. There was a poster announcing another location down near the river,

“Best gelato ever”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

If you've never had chocolate and red wine gelato, you don't know what you've been missing. For 3.50 euros you can have three scoops of the best gelato you have ever had. Don't miss this place!

“What a delight”

We were lucky to stumble across this wonderful gelateria near our accommodation, so we could return several times! The gelato was so fresh and had a home made taste to it and there was a charming spot to sit outside and enjoy it.

We found this treasure as we were ambling along from the Pathanon last evening. My wife spotted this gelaterie up a side alley way. What a find. The selection of ice cream including some savoury flavours such as celery and cream cheese was almost too much..........only joking. What a choice. We sat outside on the couple of chairs with tables in the comfortably warm autumn evening and enjoyed our purchases. My wife had a hazelnut flavour which we deemed to be the best of our selection.
