“Disappointed”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

We were disappointed to arrive & have to share a bathroom, and in the packaged croissant breakfast. We always book a room with it's own bathroom & were upset that what we had booked & paid for wasn't available to us.

Otherwise, Sole e Luna was o-k & located close by to the Colosseum.

Very good location, just 10 minutes walk to Colloseum, 20 minutes walk to Termini station. Besides, the bus stop is very close as well. The room was nice with a TV, bathroom, free wifi. Except the room was cleaned only once and it was on the second day - the time for cleaning was 12.00 - 14.00 and usually we were about leaving on that time (much of partying), so maybe that was the reason. The breakfast is brought to the room between 8.00 and 10.00. The choice is quite poor, but it's the same everywhere. In general I would stay there next time too.

This place is conveniently placed, a very close walk to the Coliseum and the metro. The woman who works there was extremely helpful and nice, showing us where to go and how to get there. The guy was not as friendly and a bit rude when we checked in, but the woman made up for it in our eyes! The place was clean and the bathroom was fine. Breakfast was not filling, but it was free, so we won't complain. Overall it was pretty good for a hostel!

We stayed at Sole e Luna for 3 nights during our recent trip. Booked online based on the location and price, it was 90 euro/night including breakfast for a room with a bathroom (payment was by cash only). Our room was next to the reception, it was spacious and clean.
Staff were smoking at the back room of the reception so had the smell lingering around a bit (didn't bother us much but just writing to let others know).
Had really good Wi-fi connection (the best we had during our trip), there was also a computer with internet in the lobby that we used a couple of times. The location was quite good, close to Colosseo and metro station. There were a couple of supermarkets near by, also close to Fossi gelateria! :)
Room was cleaned everyday but the towels weren't changed. They let me borrow their iron when I asked.
Breakfast average, all came in packets (toast was like a biscotti).
The bathroom was the reason I couldn't call this place was very good. The bathroom had a terrible smell all the time..guess it was to do with the drains (we could have actually asked for another room, but it dint really occur to me then) but what really bothered me was the fact was that when one morning toilet paper ran out, the man at the reception refused to give me anymore saying he will only replace when he's cleaning the room!
So all in all it was ok but not great, could have been better if we didn't run out of toilet paper I guess! ;)

This was our first experence in B&B (earlier we preferred hostels). I want to say, that this experince was very positive:)
The room was big enough for two of us, bathroom was small but clean and cosy. Bads were very comfortable and big. The stuff was helpful and friendly.
Location was ok - very close to Colliseum, metro stations (Mazoni and Colloseum) and only 20-minutes walk from city center. We liked, that this place was not inthe very heart of Rome, where millions of tourists are moving all the time.
The only thing, what should be improved is the shower: when you take the shower you have to first of all wait for 5 minutes for water to be hot and if you take shower more, than 10 mins - you should wait another 5-7 mins again for water to be warm;( But if you are quick in shower-taking, this should not be a problem for you!
As well as Breakfast was very poor with croissants and joghurt only, so we had to go to some another place to eat.
But overall, the place was nice, we would go there once again if we again visit Rome.

I stayed in Sole e Luna for three nights(21.08-24.08), and must say that this B&B was one of the best i stayed so far. Room was perfectly clean and spacious. I did share the bathroom but it was also perfectly clean.Yes the B&B is located on the 3 and 4th floor but there is a LIFT so I can't really understand what these people are complaining about..? I had a tiny problem when checked- in but it was quickly sorted. Staff was helpful and polite. Great location, so close to Coliseum and Termini station, shops and other tourist attractions. I cannot tell anything about breakfast as I am not an early bird and I asked not to have breakfast. All and All I had lovely time there and I would highly recommended. To those who want, special treatment there are many five star hotels in this area. Don't forget to enjoy ROME it is a beautiful place.

We stayed there for 1 day and were generally satisfied. We had a double bed with private bathroom. The room was clean and quite pleasant, though not spacious. The breakfast was served in the room but it was poor. It is situated in a convenient place in a central neighbourhood, near a metro station. Good for a sleep and some rest if you plan to spend most of your day exploring the city.

Room Tip: Some rooms do not have private bathroom
