It was so nice to be made to feel at home, especially after a difficult journey. Aklesia the owner was warm and reassuring and we felt that we instantly landed into the Roman lifestyle.
We were given coffee and cake on arrival and were given good advice about places to eat. The air con helped us to cool down before exploring the city by foot. The great location meant that there was no public transport, except for a short arranged taxi ride to the station. Otherwise all the delights of Rome were at our doorstep.
We had sociable breakfasts with Aleskia and other guests, and it was good to catch up with the rest of the travelling community.
The room was perfect and we had the view of the Colosseum and was very stylish and large, the shower was good, which was surprising at the top floor.

Room Tip: Room with the view of the Colosseum was perfect!

My husband and I spent 4 nights/5 days in Rome last week and stayed at Aklesia Suite B&B. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Blue Room and found the room and bathroom clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, even with a view of the tip of the Colosseum!

Aklesia and her husband Gianfranco were welcoming and full of advice on where to go for lunch and dinner (Luzzi is great, as is Il Clementini, both just 2 minutes' walk away). Their warmth and friendly natures really made it feel like a home from home.

The location was perfect for us too. The Colosseum metro stop is just down the road, and once you've figured out the bus system, there are at least 3 buses that stop right outside or just down the road from the B&B, linking you to the city centre in a matter of minutes. The B&B is very centrally located for a number of main sites (Colosseum, Palatine Hill, The Forum, Circus Maximus, San Clemente church) yet it is far enough away from the 'chaos' of the busier areas so you have a bit of breathing room and privacy.

The breakfasts are simple yet tasty, and our only desire was for fresh brewed rather than instant coffee. However, you can get fantastic cappucinos right across the road, so this craving can be quickly satisfied!

All in all, a superb base for a memorable trip to Rome.

We stayed a couple of nights in Aklesia Suite in May. The comfortable B&B is very well located, a stone throw away from the Colosseo, the Palatino and the Forum. Yes, it's that central. But the best part is, you're not in the hustle and bustle!

We had the blue room. It wasn't very large, but since you are not in Rome to stay in your room, it was not even near a problem. Aklesia and Gianfranco were very nice hosts. And so was their dog, little Fragolina!

My wife and I stayed in the Red Suite in May 2012.
The suite is very spacious with its own little lounge complete with couch, fridge and TV.
The double bed is very comfortable. There is also a bed on the mezzanine over the bathroom, accessed by a metal stair. The decor is eclectic and tasteful. Facilities are well designed and always clean.
Aklesia and Gianfranco are splendid hosts. They know the city very well and guided us to great local restaurants and attractions which we would not have found for ourselves. They are wonderfully friendly and want above all to see you have a good time.
Breakfast in their kitchen diner was a homely and filling experience!
The B&B is located approx 200 yards from the Colosseum, which has its own metro station, so travel to, from and around the city is easy. Buses stop across the road from the B&B on Via Labicana.
If you like a conveniently located place with friendly hosts, offering a great B&B experience at a good price, this is for you.

We had a WONDERFUL time at this B&B and have already begun to suggest this location to our friends and family that travel down to Rome.
First of all the family that owns this B&B go out of their way to make you feel at home. When we arrived to the B & B they came out to greet us and helped us find a parking spot very close to the building. They helped us get settled and helped to orient us to where we were at and spent time with us answering our questions. They knew we had a toddler and they had the toddler bed set up before we got there and they had the air conditioner going strong to give a very cool welcome on a very hot day. They go out of their way during breakfast and spend time answering any question you might have and give some good tips.
The location is perfect as you can get to the colliseum in about five or 10 minutes and is close to many of the other tourist spots.
I would suggest this to everyone as we had a great experience.
