This restaurant is hard to find, but when you do find it you will keep coming back. We first found this place in October 2011 and now in January 2013. There are no hidden service charges and the food is good. The service is great and the owner very passionate about is restaurant. See you again next year.

We ate here on New Year's Day and unlike many restaurants, they served their regular menu - not an overpriced, limited "special" menu.

Even though it was chilly, we sat outside, which was cozy since they have space heaters and their outside area has a plastic enclosure.

We had excellent pasta cacio e pepe and puntarelle, which is a green in the chicory family, served cold, with an anchovy sauce. You can only find it in Rome and it is only grown from November until March. I just love it. I could eat it three meals a day.

The food and service were excellent and the meal was very reasonably priced. We had walked by this restaurant many times and it was always very full. Now we know why!

I have rarely eaten in such a poor quality restaurant. We arrived with our children, we ordered the salted cod as a main course instead of a starter. When it arrived it was a starter. On eating it there was all batter and very little fish. My wife had the roast chicken with roast potatoes. Both of which were re-heated. To cap it all they allowed a street pedlar to lay all his wares on the table where we were eating. This was a very poor meal and experience. Never again.

Antica Taverna.  What a great find. It was recommended by my landlord, who with other locals, eats here regularly.  My three favorite dishes were: Vegetable soup with fried bread croutons was divine;  Tonnarelli cacio e pepe was fantastic; Spagetti with Arrabiata sauce was spicey and great.  Pollo al forno with potatoes and salad was very tasty, but a bit dry (to my American taste). It's also less expensive, by 20-40%, than other local restaurants we have visited in the past week. A great bargain.

We were a party of 4 adults and 4 kids. Food is good and reasonably priced. Service was good and we enjoyed the experience. The desserts were very traditional and good.
