Was told about this place by and friend and went to give it a try.Its a little bit outside city center but a taxi ride from the colloseum e.g. would not cost the earth any would be money well spent,what a find, the food here is the best example of authentic roman cuisene that you will find anywere in this town .The owner Massimo is a professional operator and you can see by the way he works he is passionate about his place.The quality of food and dishes available are second to none and all are seasonal and regional.Started with a top shelf antipasti to share with fresh ricotta ,buffolo mozzeralla ,polpette,frittata,and panzerella.We followed 2 mix griil with roast potatoes and a pasta cacce e pepe all of which were fantastic. To finish home made tiramisu , great coffee and digistifs including a lt of house falangehna and soft drinks all for under 75 euro.Why get stung by city center tourist traps when real restaurants like this place exist, the place was full of happy local customers and the service from start to finish was relaxed and efficent, there is no menu as such and the host explains what is on offer for that day, trust me you will not be sorry when you visit, if you love real food, real athmosphere real people, real quality and a real good price then il Coccio is the place for you, go see Massimo and,enjoy!!!!!
